And again: Perk "Power User"
That's right, there is some old discussions about the perk "Power User" but i found only the problem with weapons. After an year i got a little look in the game ones more and some old bugs say Hello but this is new for me.
I have the same lifetime for the fusioncore with or without the Perk "Powe User". I tried different poweramors, no Mods and for sure without overload. After some minutes the fusioncore was near empty! Bug or feature?

I'm using PA all the time and perk Power User is always there. Seems working well to me, because it doesn't drain as fast as when you didn't put it.
Which now: VATS shot/attack tend to drain FC aswell, along with sprinting (this one eat quite fast). There's perk that either reduce or eliminate FC usage on PA when you're sprinting though.

Ok, thank you for the info. My observation ist that the fusioncore is in about 9-11 minutes empty and it's the same time with or without the perk. All i can see is, if i change the fusioncore AND put the perk down and pick it up again, the time ist about 22 minutes. After the change the empty fusioncore with a new (100%) one then the new core ist agein empty in 11 minutes.
But it doesn't matter, thanks anyway :)

Then there's a chance about this: check all your filled to max FC. They should stack together, and if there's one or some that filled but not stacked, drop them and pick them up again. Sometimes it's bugged that somehow whe you enter your PA the system pick the bugged one and drain it like drinking soda. Dropping the bugged one out and picked them up again usually fixed that FC.

I used to carry just the one fusion core with me. Using power user and the Full Charge perk for no extra core drain from sprinting. Not using Vats and I would have that one core for ages and ages. Then i would many days later recharge it with the electric absorption legendary perk when i needed to.

What the heck are you doing for it to drain in 9-11 minutes?

Ah, that could be the problem. I actually have split stacks with 100% full cores. Thanks, I'll test that right away.

Actually, I don't do anything unusual. But I use VATS a lot.

Tested again: I killed a total of 11 enemies in VATs with 17 shots from the Gatling gun, 5 shots were fired without VATs. The core was at 99% at the start and then at 47%. All of this took less than a minute.

Yes that is what using Vats when in power armour will do. Your core will drain super fast. That is the downside of power armour, vats is not really usable unless you carry lots of cores.

I used to have about 100 fusion cores on me fully charged and would drink canned coffee and use Vats with an AA Gatling plasma with crit damage 2nd star. Worked well and was a very decent damage dealer but you do run through a lot of cores doing this.

All right, thanks for the information.
You can also say that it is either a bug or intentional illogicality. If I use a lot of energy with the PA to be able to use VATs, why can I also use VATs without a PA and without an energy source in exactly the same way? Or am I missing something here?
