If you talking about the Gatling Plasma? It's still around.

IF you ask that plasma core is rechargeable, the answer is 'no' at the moment. It's hinted at next season that we'll be able to charge it using plasma core charger like we had fusion core charger at the camp.

My fear is that if they introduce a plasma core recharger we'll see crafting costs go up. Fusion cores are extremely expensive to craft by comparison. Considering how inaccurate the gatling plasma is I would not want the cost per wasted shots going up.

I know that gatling plasma is very inaccurate, even with all mods installed. Best way to use this weapon is against nuked area bosses, and at about mid range. Aim for torso. most shot still hit and do well. Don't forget all the perks.

Next patch one of the raid rewards is the Vulcan PA. It has an arm mod called Gimbal arms that increase accuracy, ie. tighten the reticle.

With only 1 arm it significantly tightened up a Pepper Shaker I tested, with 2... I suspect it'll be like a laser (I only had 1 arm and stopped playing the PTS).

Plasma Gatlings would benefit in a similar way. The only issue is the RNG to get them... (I kinda hope the gimbal arms will be available for all PA as there aren't many good range mods).

I just Craft the gun, and learning the plans for The Gatling Laser got a tun of Fusion Cores, and Ultrasite Gatling Laser, the same. Gatling Plasma, was not too bad for ammo.

Take any empty cores from armor and charge them up. I try to sell them for 50 caps, to get rid of them. I guess, with the raids, that might help with getting the amount down, with power armor fusion core V.A.T.S. cost.

With the Fusion Core Re-charger, now I don't have a few lines of 10 half Charged Fusion Cores, at different states of charge.

With a Plasma Core Re-charger, I will spam the heck out of it, free ammo. I just, was dumping a bunch of old Plasma Cores, that did not have much of a charge, and Nuked Flora, for Ultrasite Cores, was not as easy for the nuked flora.
