Got 2 box mods from scrapping one Legendary.

It was a Gatling Plasma weapon.
Inertial and Resilient.
I've NEVER heard of that happening.
Anyone else?

Yup, happened to me yesterday. First time seeing that. Was scrapping quite a few items,thought maybe it was server catching up.

Why would I "murder" this beast? In fact, I hope it breeds often and fast enough.

For me, I don't think so. I had one Legendary item. I've been in game for some time.
One 3 star = 2 box mods - Very rare.

each * has equal chance to plop off. As well as the plans. It is FULLY inside the realm of possibility that u can get 3 box mods AND 3 plans from a single 3 star item when scrapped, but the odds of said event is exceedingly low.

It 'can' happen but probably won't for most ppl. Grats u got to see 2 at once, but don't rely on a double (or triple) roll of 1.5% twice.

(basically it rolls a d100 with each box mod twice, one @ 1.5% for the mod, 1 @ 1% for the plan, for each star. So for a 3star it rolls 6 times, 3 @ 1.5% for each mod, 3@ 1% for each plan.)

Yes, multiple box mods are possible. But according to Nuka Knights there is only one chance of 1% for a plan, regardless of the number of stars.

I think those two are one's I don't want anyway. I made a spreadsheet marking the ones I want to learn, use, and sell.

You hit the 1/4444 mark... its rare but not uncommon

Yeah, it was always designed to work this way. Each legendary item you scrap has multiple things you can get/learn. The chances to learn a basic mod, any of each legendary mod, and the chance of just getting a legendary mod are each rolled independently when scrapped. So, assuming you know none of it, Scrapping a 3* legendary has the chance of dropping a boxed mod for EACH star, then you have a chance of learning EACH star AND a basic mod.
