Where is Mortimer?

After months of grinding I finally got allied with the raiders but Mortimer is nowhere to be found Wtf?

You need to finish the Wastelanders' storyline before he becomes available.

Oh yeah, this. Automatically assumed OP had finished it, usually people don't grind the rep to full before doing the heist. :P

I’ve run into too many friends who did the rep grind before the vault raid. All I can do is shake my head at all that wasted grinding.

I didn't do the quest because my husband tried a bunch of times to do the quest with his character and it just kept bugging out so he finally gave up. Figured it would just bug out for me as well. I did the quest tonight without any issues so mortimer and the vault 79 guy are now available to me, as well as all the plans. Maybe if the quests weren't so buggy people wouldn't try to skip them.

You could also have just done the Settlers version. It doesn't bug out like the Raider version. And you would still get access to both the Raider and Settler vendor.

iTS NOT WASTED. If you are allied with the raiders, and you do the gold mission with them, you just screw them over and keep all the gold for yourself and you won't loose any rep if your already allied. if you are NOT allied and keep all the gold you WILL loose rep and rep is harder to gain than anything else . But i do suggest you work both the raiders and foundation UNTIL you get the free stealth suit from foundation then stop doing anything with them related to the gold mission.That way you get it ALL WITHOUT LOOSING ANY REP AT ALL. FREE STEALTH SUIT---SLUG BUSTER PLASMA RIFLE FOR DOING THE GOLD MISSION WITH THE RAIDERS---PLUS KEEPING ALL THE GOLD.

That vault mission is buggy- but you can get thru - the PROBLEM the mission has is it RELIES on you waiting around for dialog to complete, to progress to the next step. As long as you stand close to the NPCs and wait for them to finish talking, and start moving on to next step you should be able to complete the mission.

Yeah I wanted to be allied with both before finishing the quest anyway. I decided early on to finish with the raiders, which is unlike me, but I found Ward to be very unlikable for some reason.
