What are the desired legendary effects?
I just hit 50+ and have a few good 3 star armor/weapons, however I am unsure if they are worth anything caps wise. What value should I put on them? Do they multiply in value if there are more than one?

Unyielding \ Blooded build is great to level up fast.
And i like using Two shot guns when i'm using a tank build.
As far a caps go have a look what others sell things for and under cut them.

All great information, thanks all!

Don't rely on FED76 too much, it's a third-party tool that reeks of self-importance... sincere players buy and sell stuff based on their own gut-feeling. Don't allow gatekeepers to dictate your gaming experience or manipulate the economy with their price hike agenda that benefits snobby veterans but makes casual gameplay less fun for casuals and new players.

Agree with this guy. I sell all my legendaries for 100-300 caps depending on how many stars.

500 caps if it’s a decent 3 star roll. I only every price them higher than that if they are a desirable build roll. Like b/25/25 or unyielding +1 armor, ext.

Feds good

If its armour and its not unyielding don't bother trying to sell it

If its a weapon it needs to be Junkies / Anti Armour / Bloodied / Vampires / Twoshot (w/ explosive)

Otherwise they just won't sell most of the time

Except nocturnal, that stuff you should horde

Meta builds are for unoriginal people who play the game like it's a maths sum instead of a form of entertainment. Sell what you can, scrip the rest. Doesn't need anyone's approval.

i always sell my ammo for 1 cap each because how super easy it is to get ammo in this game. Same for steel- one cap each and there is always that player who buys all of it. It feels nice getting rid of all that extra weight in my storage.

I don't sell ammo, I bung it all in the Ammo Converter and get out masses of .50-cal or whatever I need with the points... it's a great way of ditching missiles, mini nukes, and the excess of Syringer ammo the game throws out.

Used to buy other people's cheap 1 cap ammo, but since Daily Ops haven't really needed to.

literally dictates others how to use (or not use to be precise) the portal that provides quick option of approximate evaluation of the item.
felmari Mar 17, 2021 @ 6:28am
a method would be to be able to read what people are selling for(bots or an api). then you could create a list which calculates highs lows for the median. it would not be about gatekeeping though would take some trust(and perhaps some transparency that can be recreated) so it does not try to move the market one way or another. course you would not get big sales with ignorant people as much though probably would not get some of the ultra high pricing either for good but not that good items(though some people just price way high on things anyway).

That "portal" is not based on any form of algorithm or fair-practice that helps support or create an actual price. It's based on the biased input of a discord community, no doubt by a few "elite" friends who have the ear of the site admin to raise and drop values. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can convince me that the purpose of the site is to promote a fair or accessible economy for the greater community. There is no evidence that prices are based on any base values and raised by fixed percentages depending on the traits of the weapon/armour. Someone manually inputs prices based on their own judgement, which makes the whole project arbitrary and therefore worthless. My distrust comes from once simple opinion, that "economy manipulation" can only be achieved by publicising such a site without disclosing it's agenda or motives. May the buyer beware. Trust your own instincts, don't rely on the estimates of overseers.

Uh. Sure.

The rest of us see it as a tool to give a rough approximate value of an item.

It was designed to give a rough approximate value of an item.
