You grind for loot basically.
Some games try to overcome this by having new game+ and some have it by varying difficulties.
The former is technically artificial and basically just restarting a new character but with stronger than normal gear or stats. Of course, in some games, new game+ just means a medal or symbol attached to the account.
The latter can't be done by MMOs.
So, unfortunately, you just have to wait for new content or move on to another game then either come back when new content drops or move on completely.
You can start another character to do a "new game+" by transferring some equipment over but ultimately, there really is only so much a game can offer.
However! The Settler/Raider daily system is absolutely stupid. 1 quest a day that gives a small tick. Not just 1 quest but the same quest over and over and over and over. 5+ other named NPCs but they all just repeat nonsense.
Ward is often broken.
Sorry got off topic.
Still haven't launched a nuke or finished the Wastelander quests. Zero Bloodied, Junkie, or Vampire weapons. Zero Unyielding armor.
Try playing the sandbox in a different way, instead of just the same character with a different weapon.
For the daily missions, there are some options that can speed things up a little.
If you doing Vital Equipment for Settlers, choose the give reward to Foundation for more rep. If you doing this quest but wanna increase Raider rep, there is skill check that allows you to give the item to the raider. It cannot be the Blood Eagle raider but Crater raiders can be talked to if you are at least not hostile with Crater.
If you doing Early Retirement Plan for Raiders, just kill the former raider or let him/her die then just go back to Crater and choose the "Appalachia has a new corpse" option. If you doing this quest but wanna increase Settler rep, there is skill check that allows you to tell them to defect to Foundation.
Then, there is also Davenport quest to take photos. Just take photos of the opposing faction you wanna get rep for then go give them the photos for rep by choosing not to take reward. You can even use a skill check to make Davenport not angry with you.
Raider rep can even be gotten from the Ohio River adventures.
So, actually, there are a number of dailies you can do to raise the rep but yes, it is a grind.

The goal isn't to optimize something. The goal is to play the game in a different way.
Are you guys AFK while playing? The game, flat out, isn't difficult. There isn't any "pain" nor am I a masochist. Bloodied builds get taken down by mole rats. I can take hits from Deathclaws that are twice my level. My survivability is far better than you think.
I don't want to exploit broken armor. I don't want to play poor-mans Bloodied/ Junkie. I want to play something different.
I currently run Rank 3 Cannibal for healing. Rads are the issue now. I'm strongly considering going Pistol for mobility; especially with the changes coming with the Tank Killer perk.
The game opens up to a ton of variety when you stop focusing on the completely over-the-top DPS.
If there is no grind, the game will out of content in 1 month
if the game out of content, playerbase decrease so fast
if playerbase decrease, the game will be abandon
Same like your favourite game = Dead by Daylight
you need grind bloodpoints to buy killer or survivor, you need grind costume, and you need grind for level too
If you dont want grind, i bet your playtime will not above 50 hours
Just accept it, the online game will out of content one day, thats why there are many option to play
