one mission in Skyline Valley just disappeared

So after doing some mission for that guy Hugo, I ended up with two missions. One in a "cave" to see help Hilga and an other one to go save her mother.

I started doing the one helping Hilga. Everything was going well and after i injected the serum into the "sedated lost" and fought him, she told me i needed to go into the greenroom. When i got there, my mission just vanished. It's not in my pip-boy anymore, it just doesn't exist... The other one with her mother is still there (i have not done it yet).

Is it a known bug? I have closed and restarted the game multiple time since then, done bunch of thing and it never came back.

Nop. And someone told me that the missions inside skyline valley are very buggy. Something with being realesed to fast and team working on something else at the same time...

But no, it never came back. Mission is just gone

Since I've already purged the memory of this update from my brain this may be a little off...

I think you are at the step you need the key to open the tunnels. That key is on a bench in the room the special plant is and opens the hatch in the nearby drainpipe.

The highlight arrow may be broken (I think PA compass markers are bugged) or only work if you are closer.

well what i meant by gone is that, the mission does not exist anymore. it's not in my pip-boy anymore. It's not in the completed section either. It's as if it never existed.
I can't speak to npcs to like, start it back up or anything. It just literally does not exist.

it happened to some other quests before but, you can start it back up or deactivate it and reactivate it, etc...

Not that time... I don't think i'll continue doing quests from that part of the map anymore

I feel your frustration, I did open a ticket with Bethesda... we'll see if anything comes of it. I think I do have one of the quest items (the serum) in my inventory that has the marker on it, but no other trace.

Not sure if anyone still needs help with this, but I was able to resolve this issue by continuing the steps of the quest without them being visible. I just followed a quest guide on YT. Once I got to the part where I administered the beta serum to the second lost, the game went into a glitched state where only my pip-boy was usable. I couldn't even enter the pause menu. I force quit the game, relaunched it, and was set to the step where you need to collect the 3 fungi samples. The quest came back up and I was able to continue the story line.
