Weight limit is the worst thing about this game
Seriously, fallout series since 4 is heavy on the building crafting asperct. And its no different in 76, why the hell would you make weight so small in an mmo games, when youre overburden for 90% of the time and you cant fast travel. Its one of the worst and most unfun mechanics in games.

Its infact different in 76. You build your Base and be done with it. Then you only need some mats for repairs or repair your gear with the hundrets of repair kits you get from doing the Queen.

You don't need so many materials. So don't pick up all those weapons after you have enoughh lead, steel and so on.

Second tip: If you are a collector. Make alt characters and give heavy items to them. Or havge FO 1st with an unlimited stash box and the possibility to make everywhere your survival tent and store and scrap there items.

I drink so much moonshine for +20 weight that I'm worried I'll shoot my liver .........

Even if you have FO 1st weight can still be an issue
The problem is they give you too much crap. I mean after an event like Rad Rumble, Eviction Notice or Moonshine Jamboree I get so much that doing more than 3 events a day caps me out at vendors and maxes my script; I wind up most it in those donor boxes.

Same here, only benefit FO1st gives is that scrap and ammo can be stored in their respective boxes.

Besides that I am constantly fighting weight but one of my big gripes is how carry weight goes down when you step into power armor. That has been a bug in my eye for many years now. If I put my power armor in my inventory my weight is 385 lbs with a carry of 400 lbs. Take power armor out of my inventory and place it to equip it my weight drops down to 370 lbs and then I step in the power armor my weight goes up to 380 lbs and my carry weight even with the weight increasing legs drops down to 365 lbs.

I find it very hard to keep my weight at 365 lbs or less as I carry three different weapons and the ammo for them. I try to only carry x1000 ammo for each of those three guns which doesnt weight much with my ammo and gun weight reduction perk cards, and ammo and gun weight reduction legendary effects on my PA ontop of two of three of my guns have -90% weight putting them each under 5 lbs.

My current issue is most of my over weight is a result of my nuka cola stash that I am between 50 and 100 of each type and they just dont sell that quick in my vending machine. I have been dumping the plain nuka cola but hate to just dump the other nuka colas.

The weight limit is necessary. If you had unlimited storage everyone would just hoard all their guns and it would remove all strategy from the game. Imagine if resident evil 1 let you carry unlimited items, it would ruin the game.

Back in the olden days, there was no carry weight cap. You could hold as much as you were willing to drag around. You just couldn’t run, couldn’t fast travel, and used all your AP just breathing.

It was a terrible experience to be around someone who had encumbered themselves in that way. Anytime they did anything that referenced their inventory, everyone around them was lagged all to hell.

That's why I changed from a Pack Rat to a Mole Rat. Just opening my Vendor sometimes would crash my game. And when 2 or 3 Fat Rats got together-We all just kinda stood there - I mean that was all we could do-Just stand there.

Im a hoarder, i need to have everything, but even in my state with my stash at 1200 and continuously at 500+ weight, im still at a 95% UN-burdened/5% overweight state.

Weight limit is a game mechanic, and fighting that is just as important as fighting scorchbeasts and feral ghouls. Don't like it? Don't play. Whiner.

Yeah, i don't like to throw things away at the start.
I find that having two characters allows me to play longer each day.
When the newer one is full and can't sell anymore because of the various limits I play the other one.
The other one doesn't care because it has everything it wants and is bored.

Weight reduction perks and effects are your best friend(just not the PA parts weigh less kind of a waste to use) and weight reduction effects on armor/weapons. For camp i usually keep around 300 of every scrap and then bulk it, so if i need to i can sell some off if i got more. Usually this keeps my stash at 1000 or 1100. My weight sits at around 190-240 out of 335 with PA or 360 without PA

You're obviously not very smart. Stop making excuses for sh*tty game design.
A side note: you probably never play the game when it came out caus the stash weight was around 700 and there was no such thing like FO1st. Most of us did manage it back then.

Now the stash weight is 1200. Now i have FO1st caus i'm a heavy farmer grinder but still remember the day we had to do micro management.

So get use to it caus it is a part of the game if you like it or not.
