Not a lot of pre-war food that benefits Herbivore. The best buffs are from cooked food.
Herbivore gives more AP and Crit boosts.
IMO, why limit with either and enjoy the benefits of both?
I agree, I was playing and my hunger was going up and I ate and no change not even a weight buff looked, I caught the herbivore mutation which I quickly removed and lost my scaly skin mutation that I like. I since then dont like it anymore cause now mirelurks attack me where as before the last two updates scaly skin mutation made mirelurks allies.
Gourd Soup +Large Perception (+7.5 easy to make, helps vats accuracy)
Brain Bombs +Massive Intelligence (11.25 points) (Brain soup is the easier to make lesser version)
Company Tea +Massive AP regen (37.5 = 8 pieces of powered armour = instant ap regen after cooldown) (Thistle salad or whatever is the cheaper to make lesser version but now with the company tea machine everyone should have this)
Blight Soup +Massive crit (~187.5%)
Tato juice +Large ap (+37.5? also helps ap regen)
Steeped Fern Flower Tea +Large str (+7.5, carry weight buff of 37.5 pounds)
You can do
Pumpkin pie (massive health)
Silt bean soup (resistance)
Silt bean other stuff (different type of resistance)
Chew sticks (luck)
Then to get real fancy you use a herbivore serum and double dip on meat products (at 1.0x but still more is more)
Um no, the times you saw them as allies was because the server bugged
Mutations don't make them friendly
Back when The Pitt launched there was a Soda Bread recipe added to the game but never used...
We have flour and could easily make damper, a kind of bread with just flour and water cooked over a camp fire.
If thats so the it was numerous servers over the better part of a year then that its been bugged because it wasnt just a one server one day thing, Its been that way for a long time and it didnt matter what server I went to. So it was either a bug that got fixed or it was a server issue which I doubt seeing it wasnt isolated to just one server.
Judging from the posts its been 6, maybe 8 months. And yes, it is a bug introduced in one of the patches. Bethesda being Bethesda, actually fixing a problem is mostly beyond them.
