Define challenge

Braindead

If you're looking for dark souls this isn't it.

If you haven't played a creation engine game this game is like Skyrim or Fallout 4 but without a difficulty slider and its set to normal or maybe easy.

It is kinda more like a minecraft game than a MMORPG

This game is very easy even for more casual players. You can increase the challenge a bit if you run something like berserker build or use pistols only etc but even then it's far from Souls-games.

Braindead Takes no effort to do anything

It is as easy or as hard as you want to make it.

Depends on your build. The more you focus on your build, the easier the game gets.

inventory management is set to insane. everything else is a joke

Disable perk cards to make the game more difficult. Use baseline under-leveled weapons and armors with no legendary buffs. Or forgo armor altogether.

Braindead.

It's not a true rpg, it's mainly an MMO where events occur every 20 minutes where you kill weak enemies using your superior firepower. Events last anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. They are a lot like childrens party games. Or replaying the same battle scenario from a tabletop minis game over and over again.

There are a few rpg-like quests at the start but they are just like linked events i.e. the usual go here - kill that variety. There isn't any using your brain to nut stuff out.

But it's worth the money when it's on sale for a few bucks. The game world can be interesting to explore.

You don't play a creation engine game for its combat, seriously...maybe back when it was Morrowind but not the Bethesda Fallout games

You can moon jump and shoot down on enemies or you can sneak and really you can break this game by climbing just out of reach of a melee monster

The fun in this game is in the story the random events, the neat things you can find and the collecting and upgrading of your gear and CAMP

more collectathon than FPS barely RPG but fun

The Main Quests are just like the Fallout 3 or 4 quest lines you're used to. Not hard but not particularly challenging. Its entertainment if you like the whole post-apocalypse genre with some humour mixed in.
The Daily and weekly challenges are brain dead. Boring, repetitive but helpful for completing the season and unlocking new plans.
Daily operations and expeditions are very easy once you've done them a couple of time, a decent character with good load out, and some reliable team mates.

Overall the game can be enjoyable, but in no way is it competitive type of challenge. I enjoy it more for building nice bases, wandering around, the quests, but combat (while I've died many times) has never really had me frustrated or realising I am bad at the game. Mostly its because I took on something I wasn't ready for.

It's entertainment at most. ARE WE NOT ENTERTAINED dwelllers. Just look at the forums, Entertainment at it's Best.

More then Braindead. And sadly Bethesda listing to the Cry babys and are making the game even more easy.
