Map Bug Solution until it is fixed!
Solution until it is fixed!

I actually didn't want to answer questions like this anymore because nobody uses the search function. And if you post a solution, nobody reads it.
But my helper syndrome is kicking in again!

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/2743

Do exactly as it says there.

Just read, you know, READ, R E A D! 😉

Then almost everything will work as usual again.
After the fix is out, you just remove the mod and you're good.
And no, it's NOT illegal!

Thanks again to Area51 for the tip!

It's frustrating to see, but too many people on these forums don't seem to want help. They just want to be angry and ignore that all the issues (while annoying) can be worked around in one way or another while waiting for a fix.

But thanks for posting this. I'm sure it will still help many people!

Sometimes I wonder why do they even have PTS if every patch comes out bugged and broken?! Just for players amusement?
PS. As I see it - it is their job to test their own work thoroughly

Yes, it works perfectly. No, majority of people won't use it. Even more will read this thread, ignore it, and complain regardless.

well some people are worried about getting banned for using mods.
Also sometimes mods make things worse. The only solution is to wait for them to fix it.

And some people think the earth is flat. Both statements are proven incorrect, but i can't change peoples beliefs nor do I care to.

Yes, yes and the air we breath every day is slowly killing us. Both statements are true.

That's why I wrote, please read!

This mod does not violate Bethesda's terms of service, it is not a cheat or anything like that. However, nobody is forcing you to use it, you can live with the bug until it is fixed. Whatever you want, it's your decision.

Yes, I'm wondering that too. Apparently they're using a different map file than in the normal game. Otherwise it would have been noticed. It's a mystery to me why Bethesda doesn't reset the map themselves until they've found the problem. Some players are having problems with this mod, but they're not as bad as without the mod.

I am thankful for your helping inform the community of solutions, but there is still that little voice whispering in my head: "they can arbitrarily choose to make any mod against their terms of service, should they so choose." The little voice visits more than just me, is my guess.

You're right, of course, they can basically do whatever they want. But it would look pretty stupid to punish something like that. And at the moment they have enough bad publicity.

As I wrote, nobody is forcing you!
Use the mod or don't, it's your decision.

And if you continue to hear voices, let us know! I bet there are psychologists among the players too! They'll be happy to help! 🤪

Yes. Here.

Oh my goodness, that sounds so scary. Is my lighting mod gonna get mes permabanned, is not fear mongering but spreading the good word to all the newbies?

No.. Becuase this is two fold. if you check the Terms of Services, you'll find modding is just fine under Section 2, Subarticle D, it states:

D. Game Mods

Content also includes Game Mods. The term "Game Mod" means downloadable, user-generated Content developed or created by You or a third party using an Editor Tool (as defined below). In certain cases, as determined by ZeniMax, Game Mods may be made available to other users of a Service or a Game and in such cases, such other users may download the Game Mods from ZeniMax or third parties and use such Game Mods in connection with playing a Game or receiving a Service from ZeniMax.

If You desire to develop or create one or more Game Mods, then You will be required to download from a ZeniMax website or otherwise gain access to via a ZeniMax website one or more software tools through which You may create or develop Game Mods (each such tool is an "Editor Tool"). To obtain a copy of or get access to any such Editor Tool, You will be required to agree to the terms of a separate EULA (the "Editor EULA"). If there is a conflict between the terms and conditions in any such Editor EULA and the terms and conditions in these Terms of Service, the terms in the Editor EULA will control over the conflicting terms in these Terms of Service but solely for the purpose of the specific Editor Tool and not for any other purpose. Please review the terms in the Editor EULA carefully.

With respect to Game Mods made available for download from a ZeniMax website or made available from a ZeniMax server, ZeniMax may, at any time and in its sole discretion, elect to remove such Game Mods from the ZeniMax website(s) or server(s) without notice to You.

Each Game Mod is owned by the developer of the Game Mod, subject to the licenses granted by the developer to ZeniMax as set forth in the Editor EULA.

ZeniMax may, but is not required under the Terms of Service to, validate, test, evaluate or pre-screen Game Mods.

ZeniMax does not endorse, sponsor, guarantee or approve any Game Mods, including without limitation Game Mods available for download from a ZeniMax website.

Your experience with any particular Game Mod may vary from other users' experiences.

IF YOU ELECT TO INSTALL, DOWNLOAD OR USE ANY GAME MODS, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW AND SUBJECT TO THE STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS (AS DEFINED IN SECTION 1), ZENIMAX RESERVES THE RIGHT (BUT HAS NO OBLIGATION EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY LAW) TO OFFER, MAKE AVAILABLE, REVIEW, REMOVE, BLOCK, EDIT, MOVE OR DISABLE GAME MODS FOR ANY REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE, AND HAS NO LIABILITY OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO GAME MODS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WHEN ZENIMAX DETERMINES THAT A GAME MOD VIOLATES THESE TERMS OF SERVICE OR THE EDITOR EULA. THE DECISION TO REMOVE A GAME MOD AT ANY TIME IS IN ZENIMAX'S SOLE AND FINAL DISCRETION.

To the maximum extent permitted by law and subject to the Statutory Obligations (as defined in Section 1), ZeniMax does not assume any responsibility or liability for Game Mods or for the removal of any Game Mods for any failure to or delay in removing, any Game Mod.

-----

If you keep reading, you'll find the one part this guy is going to latch onto under section 3. Limited LIcense to Use.

3. Limited License to Use

Subject to the terms in these Terms of Service and Your compliance with all of the terms and conditions in these Terms of Service, ZeniMax grants to You, for Your personal, private and non-commercial use only, a non-exclusive, revocable, nontransferable license to access, receive, play, and use Services (including any Content which is made available by ZeniMax (including but not limited to Game Mods that You download from a ZeniMax website)

TL:Dr Use all the mods you want. They're not responsible if it breaks your game, they won't fix it for you. But no where does it state account suspension or termination for using mods unless they're cheating.

=====IF YOU DOWNLOAD A MOD THAT IS A CHEAT YEAH YOU'RE GONNA GET BANNED SMART GUY EVEN IF IT COMES FROM THEIR OFFICIAL SITE FOR MODS=====

Big difference downloading a mod that rearranges the UI and a mod that gives infinite stack weight.... this is common sense.

Stop fear mongering.

All this information can be read for youself by going to bethesda website, scrolling down to the bottom. EULA and TOS are there for all to view.

You can get banned for using mods, it is in violation of the ToS and bugfesta has banned players for using advantage giving mods in the past

The earth is also demonstrably flat

https://www.homebrewhappyhour.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Beer-soda-water-wine-kombucha-beverage-carbonation-chart-2.jpg

So in our example of an American amber at 2.5 volumes of CO2, that means that for every 1 measure of liquid there is 2.5 of that measure of c02 dissolved in that liquid.

As you can see the worlds average temperature is 59 degrees F (terrible scale but since the chart above is in F I'll stick with that)

now it should be painfully obvious to everyone without any sourcing that the world doesn't have an equal amount of carbonation to everything else

Now this means that obviously the world is well, well, well below 1.02 carbonation per 1.00 of every measure of liquid (Probably closer to 0.000000000001 per 1.00)

Thus conclusively the world is in truth flat

So you see both statements have been proven correct

I've used the pickaxe mod during the pickaxe frenzy and nobody I know was banned either.

Bugfesda allows mods in all their other games until they find a way to monetize the best ones . Grow a sack or stay complaining

Please don't feed the trolls! 🚯

Trolls are not pets!
They stink and spread their dirt everywhere, which then covers everything else.
If you feed them, they will keep coming back!
The best thing to do is to stay calm and ignore them, that will calm them down and they will move on.

Once again, DO NOT feed them!
