After reading about all the people with broken games after this update, I'm afraid to login. Can anyone confirm if the game is back to normal and it is safe to play again?

I'm always interested in how these accounts with 1000+ games who showcase a bunch of "perfect" games seem to have the worst time trouble-shooting the simplest crap.

How it is you can dominate 1000 games and not have had to troubleshoot a bug?

You ok there bud? I have like 22 "perfect" games out of 2k+ games in my account, so not really sure why its even relevant. My bad for not knowing that the "Challenges" button was on the ESC screen. I have literally NEVER clicked it there. I always click it in the top right corner of the map.

1. Map opens to far left upper corner every time it is opened.
2. I'm having items names come up "ItemLookup Failed". Items work fine it's annoying to have to rename them.
3. Public Events aren't showing up in the map. You have to select and "Join" from the option.

dude the map is bugged post update. This is not some conspiracy of players trying to gaslight you.
My map will not update after launch, I can not see where I need to go for any quests it just doesn't show anywhere. No nuke zones, no players, it is bugged.
This has even been acknowledged. Not sure why there is so much denial that this could possibly happen.

Nobody said it was a conspiracy, but as someone who is running a clean install on a modern OS who is only experiencing a problem with where the map centers and NOTHING ELSE, what do you expect us to do as a community for you? You want me to go and sign some E-petition so Joey-Scooter-Billy can have his 3 days of challenges back??? In MY day, installing Mech Warrior could eat your OS and youd spend the weekend reformatting your hard drive and trying to figure out how to install a dial up modem manually so you can download all of the other hardware software that wasnt included.

If the game is working well for you then great.; maybe you should be playing it instead of trolling the forums

There's definitely an issue for some players. I have this same issue; my dailies/weeklies no longer show up as a list on the map when I tag them. The vast majority of tracked quests also do not show up; this is not a problem for some quests where I can either remember a fixed location or find it online, but it's a full stop problem for quests where the target location is random. Such as, the crater quest where you have to track down a deserter and the hunters chasing them, when they move all over the place.

Unplayable? No. Mostly it's just an inconvenience, with a few limited examples of tasks/quests that it would be extremely unlikely you could complete them. No idea why some players aren't having a problem and others aren't. Is it a PC vs console thing? I play on PC.

Either way, I get this isn't the place to 'report' it, which is why I didn't before now; I'm only responding to this thread to acknowledge for those talking about it that it's a real problem and it isn't about 'mods', of which I have none.

IF you are 48, then by now you understand how the world actually works. For one thing, you complaining about issues that didn't make it into clickbait news and hasn't dominated Bethesda's actual boards, but instead decided to just dump it on a steam forum like Todd Howard is going to personally read it and fix it without even knowing what OS you're running... well... congrats to making it to 48

But here's MY completely out of the blue HOT TAKE -- I have noticed an increase in server stability since the patch -- my FPS jumped up. So can YOU prove to ME that whatever YOU did to BREAK YOUR GAME wasnt also effecting MY server stability before the update?
