Large FPS drop in Windowed mode compared to Fullscreen

Hi

I've noticed this game has some pretty massive FPS drops whenever I switch between windowed mode and fullscreen. At fullscreen, I'll easily get 144 FPS(which is the refresh rate of my monitor) at max settings. However, whenever I switch to windowed mode, my computer struggles to to do 40 FPS.

Now, I know fullscreen has a few perks over windowed mode, but losing 100 FPS and more seems a bit extreme, and I'm wondering if it's a bug. And if it is, does anyone know a solution?

I play in windowed mode with 144fps with no issues... can't remember what I did to make it work if anything.
