Make launching nukes at high levels quicker
I hate wasting 30 minutes going through the nuke silos every time I wanna launch a nuke. It's not a challenge anymore, but rather just a tedious waste of time every time I wanna launch a nuke to have some ACTUAL fun with the events they spawn.

Allow people who are,say level 150+, to launch nukes using a CAMP item or some other way to speed up the process instead of forcing us to go through the entire slow slog in a silo.

So you think level 150 is "high"... ok.

i consider 1-300 the tutorial. >.> what's this "high level" you're speaking of? once you break lvl 10k, then I consider "high level".

What would be the minimum level to have for all legendary perks to be maxed out? Should be around 500 or even 600. Anyways, that would be my definition of high level.

If it takes you 30 minute to launch a nuke, you might want to work on optimizing your silo technique.

Use turrets to take out robots.
Don't fight robots unless you REALLY have to.
In the Reactor Room, pick the lock on the first door to the left, and then hack the terminal to end the lockdown. Much faster than fixing the pipes.
Carry grenades, shotgun, or tesla to destroy the mainframe cores.
Once again, don't fight robots. Sometimes it's better to just run past them.
In the supply room, grab all of the cores, take them to the tinkers bench, repair them, and get going fast. Don't fight the robots unless you have to!

While in the supply room, use the terminal to unlock the shortcut door so if you happen to die in the control room, you can skip the reactor and mainframe rooms.

In the control room, use the terminal right outside to take control of the turrets and use them to help neutralize all of the robots inside. THESE robots you need to fight and kill.
But whatever you do, don't destroy any eyebots. When the robots respawn, they have the opportunity to respawn as a more dangerous bot, or an eyebot.

Have a flaming weapon, or molotov cocktails and slot friendly fire. So you can heal the robots.

The one thing that is guaranteed timed is the launch prep. If all launch crew survive, it takes 5 minutes.

In addition to the above mentioned tips consider equipping Master Infiltrator at max rank to instantly unlock/hack any lock or terminal in the silos.
Equip Ricochet and a vampire weapon, ignore all robots and turrets until the control room. It takes about 5 minutes to run from the start to the control room cutting your total silo run to about 10 minutes.

Small solution: You should only have to do the bioscan process once per silo. Once you do Alpha, Beta and Charlie, you won't ever have to do it again as long as you have the cards on you.

I have not once completed Death From Above.
What's the current way to do that?
I read something about some keycard that I have to get by shooting the helis.
What do I have to do, step by step to be able to launch a nuke?

I love how no one actually asks for what they are doing wrong to improve their own performance but just asks for the game to change instead :steamfacepalm:

If a nuke launch is taking you a full 30 mins that is the problem right there.

I have a Missile Silo Vault-I can launch nukes all day long and look out my window and see them Explode. Don't know where they go, maybe NY.

You’ll be better off finding a video to watch. A text write up would be a short paperback novel, and would probably confuse you off wanting to do it.

Watch a video. It’s still going to seem complicated, but you’ll find it’s pretty easy once you know how and actually do it… and that’s even doing it the proper way without using any of the shortcut cheats you’ll find if you look for them.

Hell no. In fact, it should be made harder. Nobody should be able to just hit an auto-nuke button whenever they so choose. Do you know how stupid, petty and nasty players are?
BizarreMan Jul 7, 2024 @ 7:47pm
I do wish I didn't have to do the bio card every time. If I only have to put the codes in once per week per silo. I should only have to bio enroll myself once per week per silo.

The things you have to have are a nuclear keycard and a launch code for the silo you decide to use. You also have to decide what you want to nuke. Additionally there is a cooldown period and a holotape to tell you which silo is available.
On your travels you may have seen some vertibirds escorting a cargo bot.
If you shoot it down and steal from the container everyone there can get a card and nobody gets wanted.
You can do a quest from the enclave bunker to locate the cargo bot. You also can buy them.
I sold some from my player vendor for 76 caps.
They didn't last long.
The reason I had excess is because i did a lot of foot travel and come across the convoy in my travels.
You can do another quest to find the codes carriers and decrypt them if you like solving puzzles or use the internet to look up the current ones which have just started with the expiration of last weeks codes.
For my first time I did it the long way.
I was initially put off because people on the internet had said it was hard but it turned out to be quite easy using a shotgun which cripples those robot foes and makes short work of turrets.
It seems that the longer you take the more robots you get to kill. Might be good for XP if you are into that sort of thing.

I doubt many even do it properly as is. Even 30 minutes using nukacrypt etc. is fast compared to the design.

Just be fortunate there are speed ups in play or you'd only realistically see nukes closer to the weekends. That is how it was designed...
