Belly of the Beast reset!

WTF Bethesda? Why would you make this long ass quest a one-shot sequence? People have lives you know!
Is there a warning that quests must be done in on sitting? Am I missing something? ♥♥♥♥!
I look online and this is a 6 year old issue

Chillax. It is only the activiation of a few beacons which are all located "walking distance" to each other. People have lives. Get one too!

Yes, it’s annoying that it does not checkpoint. However, you don’t have to go to each one in order, just go to the last one you visited and pick up from there, skipping everything in between.

don't tell me to chillax. Its not a few responders. its that and then a long ass cave after avoiding several legendary scorchbeasts. Its not hard but its stupid to have to do it all over again because Bethesda can't make one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ checkpoint in there somewhere.
There is no reason that your progress can't be saved at some point during that slog. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying, almost as much as your unhelpful comment.

well i was following the quest as it is spelled out. I didn't know you could skip to the end. That isn't typically how games work but apparently here it is.
And yes I spent an hour or longer going from the transponders to the cave, dodging scorchbeasts and getting lost in it. Finally I get to a point outside the cave and figure OK I can stop here. It's 2 am I'll pick this up tomorrow. No where does it indicate that you need to finish the entire sequence in one instance.
It is annoying to say the least and yes it pissed me off. It's not the ifrst time this has happened with this game either. I forget what quest it was but I had to start the entire thing over because I logged out.
I think what got to me was the fact that there are bugs in this game that they refuse to fix or can't fix. It's a bit discouraging when you read about bugs that go back 5 years. I mean my character still gets stuck when entering my PA in 1st person.
But I get it , its fun to poke the pissed off guy. Please I don;t want to interrupt your fun. poke away

One of those lines at the bottom of loading screens mentions that some tasks don't save progress if you don't complete them.
I fell for that once.

If you have a problem with repeating things, this game is not for you. Because this game is about repeating things A LOT. See the guys with lvl 1k and above? You think they have done everything just once?
You keep your XP and you keep your loot. Get over it.

In all fairness I discovered that following the BoS beacons all the way from Fort Defiance to Glass Cavern by accident. I was doing it with one of my characters many years ago and having connection and server stability issues. After the 3rd time starting it over I was hmm I know the last FT location, can I just pop there and pick up without walking halfway across the bog and voila, it picked up at that point. You still end up fighting to the end, but it’s a lot easier than dodging SB all the way there,

i got all the way to the end and accidentally hit the elevator to go back to the surface, unfortunately its a one way ride. I figured since I was out of the cave it would save my progress. oh well live and learn.
