Too much lightning damaging camps constantly!
Lightning seems excessive, anyone found anything to block or defend against it? Have a build at an oil seep with underground farm. Muttfruits two flooring levels deep getting destroyed as well as camp items. Tried putting up stuff for lightning rods and extra roof layers, seems lightning just passes through everything. Camp only at edge of storm..

I have another camp close to trading post but with no resource to extract. It never gets damaged /shrug

It seems to be due to the in ground Resource Extractors, Attracting Lighting. I had a camp across the a hiking trail from a resource, and did not know it. Very few, if any, Lighting Strikes, then, moved it across the hiking trail, to the resource, and it keeps getting hit.

Strange, a disincentive to building on a resource? Building Height limit? The trees around the camp giving me side bolts of lighting? Trees, being taller not attracting lighting, and can't be blocked with items, as permanent trees. I am, thinking of going back to the other side of the Hiking Trail, to avoid the damage.

I was at the Trading Post the other day when lightning hit a chicken and killed it. It made me jump and I lost a little health.

Even if the lightning didn't destroy anything at all how on earth do you put up with the constant noise and screen shaking ?

There is a clear weather station device for your camp. So always bright and sunny weather, no rain and thunder.

I moved my camp to the new area but away from the bad storm part. My Brahmin kept dying.
i thought maybe it's because it's standing in water and soaking up rads, so i moved it up the hill a bit.
It still keeps dying because there is a pack of wolves that regularly visit and make a bee line for the cow.

That chicken displeased the server gods and had to go.

Moved camp to an acid node, same BS. FTN moved again, even animal attacks seem worse lol. Wolf took one bite and destroyed my acid extractor before I got anything else built, yea balance riiight..
