Too much lightning damaging camps constantly!
Lightning seems excessive, anyone found anything to block or defend against it? Have a build at an oil seep with underground farm. Muttfruits two flooring levels deep getting destroyed as well as camp items. Tried putting up stuff for lightning rods and extra roof layers, seems lightning just passes through everything. Camp only at edge of storm..

if you have it put up the clear weather station... no more lightning. I was hoping the huge lightning collector we just got would work but sadly it doesn't.

Thanks, don't have any stations but will watch for a sale.

May I ask where you built your camp? Is it near the eye of the storm?

SE of the trading post, close to the road, above the road...

It would be great, wasting too much time and materials repairing :)

ya know... seems like a missed opportunity to add in a new type of 'generator' that could 'feed' off the storm... and double as a lighting rod.

but ya.. Bethesda.

Yeah we got that H U G E lightning collector as a camp item from the new event, but it just sits there, it doesn't even light up :-P

Well..unfortunately it doesn't stop the strikes but thanks for the suggestion. There might be a slight reduction hard to tell, it's a real deterrent to building in the new zone, I don't mind wood being used but the drain on copper and other resources sucks.

Sorry to hear it :-( Maybe build down by the Slumber Mill Motel, no lightning there.

Have you checked your Insurance. I'm sure there is some clause about building Down there. Might be able to make a quick stack of caps selling this on the side. Will check with MODUS and see what he thinks-Love that Guy-Bot or what ever.

I had to move my camp back north. even with the clear weather the lightning still destroys my camp

Yep, I moved 2 of my camps yesterday. I love scary movies but it was getting a little spooky even for me. Put them out on the edge, still get allot of enemy spawning but at least I can see them hahahaha.

Use it to your advantage. Build something that looks better destroyed, such as house frames from incomplete pre-war estate construction.

Or use it to assist merging without the need for flame traps. Or destroyed trap camps for the unsuspecting good Samaritan (evil but true to lore).

You never know when a bolt from the blue could be a blessing.
