If your CAMP 1 has a freezer, but CAMP 2 does not and you switch from 1st to 2nd... Your food is moved from freezer to regular stash - just because Camp 2 does not have a freezer.
Simply make sure BOTH (or all, if more) of your camps have the freezer placed. Then your food will not spoil.
I also had changed camp for a day that didn't have a freezer while hoping for a pet, it was packed full and everything remained full condition.
The Regular Regular Refrigerators just have 50%, and "Good With Salt" Three Star is 75%.
The Military Cryo-Freezer, was from a season for Fallout First, now available with gold bullion. The "Military Cryo Freezer" is not a skin of the regular refrigerators. The "Military Cryo-Freezer" is its own appliance. Its above the Refrigerators, in the Build Menu. There is no skin for it in game, only one that was data mined.
It should be a Very Light yellow, rectangle, with a gray panel with a white star, and a Hand Reader to the Left of it. The part with the star should have a section with 3 shelves rise up.
Is that what you are using? If not, then you don't have the "Military Cryo-Freezer" in use, and probably a refrigerator. So, are you using the "Military Cryo-Freezer"?
Or the refrigerator "Camp Cooler"/"Freeze Cooler" from this season Score board. or any other refrigerator?
note the part about clearing pickup list before starting loot run, scroll down to fixed spawn locations, next page shows many locations with pics of physical world locations;
I picked out a few spots and added as part of my main loot run, hope this helps

Maybe you're putting food into your stash, thinking it would work? Which is wrong, because it won't. You have to directly put food into the freezer itself. Oh and the freezer should also be powered up (in range of power source, similar to lights).
Otherwise I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
The "Military Cryo Freezer" Does not have, a power requirement that I could see, for how much power it would need. But, yes, like the Fermenter, you have to put the item, in this case food, in it.
The way I read it food should last twice as long as otherwise but will still spoil.
Is that how it works?
