How to deal with:
Hi!!

I have trouble with some things:

1. How do you get non radiated wáter? I am radiated all the time...

2. The same with food

3. Any way to heal radiation? The rads are too expensive and eating and drinking I get radiated every few hours...

4. Weight, I can barely carry anything... Any idea or tip?

Thank you so much!!!

Water purifiers

The most popular is the vintage one you can buy the plan from players but its rare

You cook your own food

Radiation is your unyielding bloodied friend, but radaways, and some perks will heal it for you

Yes they made the game weight limited to encourage people to pay monthly to somewhat remove the malicious design

1) Build water purifiers
2) Plant crops
3) Besides radaways Nuka-Cola Grapes, rad removal arches etc
4) Perks to lower item weights, deep pocket mods for armor, mutations like Marsupial, Unyielding armor set with low health and Radicool perk, legendary weight reduction effects on armor and weapons etc.

1. purified water is the way to go, acquire plan and build a water purifier.

2. hunt and cook the food

3. Radaway? Dilute it if you only need to get rid of a little bit now and then. Ferrell ghouls typically carry as loot, or search Morgan airport medical tents outside for various meds including radaway. and or find recipe from Modus Terminal .

4. Special Points in strength, Buffs (weight bench, foods) The all-time-fav, Marsupial serum

hope this helps

Edit;
Don't forget to check out the class freak and starched genes luck perk cards before you play with serums mind

But your own food has rad too, isn't it?

I didn't know you could dilute radaway!

Thank you all!

First thing to note is food and drink are optional. The hunger and dehydration bars no longer cause debuffs, only buffs.

You can live off air in this game just fine.

If you want rad free food, you can take over the workshop at Sunshine Meadows and power the machine. It generates rad free Salisbury steak as well as other rad free items. I lived on them for years until food became non-essential to life.

To be honest though, when I started I was allergic to rads. I went out of my way to avoid carrying any of them at all. I still play full health builds, but I don’t worry about small amounts of rads.

Really? So the bar can be ignored?

I have spent points and cards on foods, drinks, etcétera...

not quite true, fully fed grants an endurance buff and increased disease resistance buff, by not being fully fed you are missing out on buffs

Water purifier plans drop from quests, you can find them from station/Whitespring vendors and also from containers like tool boxes, safes etc, I'm pretty sure they can drop as event rewards too. There are different size purifiers, small can be built on dirt, standard and industrial purifiers require open water.
Yes, crops have rads, almost all food has some but there are few exceptions. I recommend joining Scorched Earths when they pop up, you should get Decontamination Shower plans as a reward. It's a bit expensive to build though since it requires stable fluxes but you get those as rewards from higher tier events.

Yes, it can be ignored. However, if you reach a point to where keeping food and water on you doesn't feel like a chore (and it usually does), staying fed and hydrated will give you buffs such as increased AP regen. There's also a perk card in endurance that boosts these buffs. I usually don't bother with them outside staying hydrated for the AP regen as well as specific food buffs like cranberry relish (experience bonus) and brain fungus soup/brain bombs (for intelligence/exp buff).

Build water purifiers for purified water (no radiation). You can also see about getting the vintage water cooler plan which don't require any nearby bodies of water.

purified water will not give you rads, popcorn will not give you rads but you need a decent amount to use it as food if you want to fill your food bar,
in terms of the carry weight thing a small thing that can help is to use your constant supply of rads to your advantage and put on radicool for a free 5 strength (25 carry weight). If you are always fighting with healing rads, just be a bloodied build, use radicool and unyielding armor and get a bunch more carry weight and more damage from being bloody

Hi I'm a level 5 just leaving the Vault-what should I do. " Buy a 30,000 cap Vintage water cooler and change your build with this 67 card Layout. Hurry before you reach level 6 so you can play Bloodied really good." OR " Quick and go see Minerva and spend 3000 Bullion and get some SS armor asap."

Wooooow, it's a lot... But most of my weight is food and drink... So I don't know if it's worthy
