Drop rates for fasnacht event is too low
The chances of getting what you would like is said to be around 0.23%. Rare masks 5% drop rate. So basically you can do +200 and get completely shafted by RNG and never get a rare mask.

I understand completely why people afk 24/7, because you need those chances to even have a chance on getting something, since the event is only 2 weeks. And you can't server hop, because they've made it so that you get put on a empty server if you server hop after event. So you won't be able to do more than one event per hour. 2 if you are extremly lucky and dont get put into a empty server.

The problem with the drop rate is they keep adding more and more stuff to the table which reduces the probability that much more.

A side note: you said you understand why people go AFK? I do not... AFK people are just lazy kids who want ONLY the reward and refuse to put effort in the event and trade the glowing mask for real money or Groll weapons / gear.

In short? AFK people are just a bunch lazy little kids no more, no less.

Yes they need to convert from a drop rate to yet another currency

Change it so that instead of masks you get tokens
if you would have gotten
Common masks = 5 tokens
Uncommon masks = 25 tokens (which is actually like 70% of the events rewards)
Rare masks = 250 tokens

Then add a new vendor who sells all the masks for the same price

Players can pick and choose their poison and even events where you didn't get stuff would add up enough to get it after 12-15 events
I would hate this. It completely takes away from the idea of an item being rare and people wanting to trade for them and just makes it whoever has all day to play can grind for one. They would be instantly less cool. The fun for me and a lot of people I play with is the chance even small of getting one and when you do it feels awesome. Just grinding the event for “tokens” owner and over and eventually everyone has them all would be boring.

I fail to see a big difference, and that's coming from a guy who has been blessed by RNGesus this event. I could not get either of the remaining items I want and be content with my luck so far. The only thing it would do is guarantee someones time wouldn't be wasted. ALTHOUGH I would make one change.

Masks drop like normal (RNG can be fun) and you get one token by default after every event. After you get a lot of them say same idea as Phantoms but 50 for common 250 for Uncommon and 500 for Rares. Maybe you wouldn't even get the mask you want THIS event but you could save the tokens and get it eventually. Kinda like a safety net for peps with dogwater RNG luck

Fine adjust it so that the drop rate is 1/100th of what it currently is

Then each player needs to actively assist with the event to increase those odds

If you don't find a robot, make 10 kills, complete some robots tasks you get the 1/100 decreased drop rate

if you do it you get a 10x increased drop rate

problem solved

Not to worry. Those odds are only bad back when this was a once a year event. Slowly, but surely it has been increasing in frequency. Just like all the other 'seasonal' events.

Now you can look forward to getting bored more times a year! And for longer! (2 week runs with extra weeks for stuff ups). /S

AFK won't work. Even you do it 24 hours per day for 14 days, you still will only play the event 24 x 14 = 336 times. But you'll need 1000+ times to get all the new rare masks. If you need all 21 rare masks, you'll need even more tries (over 1500). And those are just the average number of rolls based on how the probability is. Some players may need fewer rolls, and some may need (way) more. This event is designed to have you NEVER get all the rare masks, because they keep adding new ones, unless you buy some of them from other players (which is also a crap shoot). Knowing the math is totally against you, you just shouldn't bother, whether you AFK or not. Those AFKers should not be chastised, but *pitied* instead for engaging in such a monumental waste of time.

Yeah so? Rare items are cool, and the items are only cool because they're rare
Eriskumma 29 JUN 2024 a las 12:51 p. m.
They really should add special Fasnacht vendor to event that has all old common and uncommon masks from first 3-4 events for sale for caps and remove them from drop pool, then adjust the drop rates/rarity categories accordingly.

Terribly low RNG is fine if:

There is good stuff that is worth using.

Plans to *not* duplicate until you have them all.

Getting seventeen piles of $^#%ing confetti and a whole coven worth of witch masks?

I attend 3-4 times a day and I have acquired a bunch of masks,

But no glowing mask
Solo Wing Fury 29 JUN 2024 a las 11:25 p. m.
I didn't have any luck last time this even was around, still no luck this time getting the one mask i want, but tons and tons of witch masks.

Welcome to FO76! This principle applies throughout the entire game. Latest after you played through the main and side quests, you are doing nothing but attending events and rushing from one player vendor to the other, in your slim hope to finally get this one weapon or protection piece that you have always been looking for. And because bethesda wants you to be on an endless search, they make some things more rare than others.
