Please don't bring a Fat Man to Radiation Rumble
Or other indoor events. I know you're trying to have fun and it can be hard to remember that there are also other players other than yourself that are trying to have fun, but please try to think of other players and don't let your fun completely obstruct theirs. Just a humble plea from a fellow Fallout enjoyer. Thanks! :VBOY:

Edit: Just a side note, I know it's not your fault that I have a potato pc, but indoor Fat Man actually tanks my fps.. :(

...which is why Bethesda heard your concerns and added a much more spammable huge AOE explosive weapon last season - The Cremator. To even further kill your FPS omegalul.

Cremator doesn't really bother me or my pc so much as indoor Fat Man.

If I may suggest, there is now a "turn off extra weapon effects" option in the Settings somewhere... I am sure I saw it somewhere

Also, you can try edit the Initialization files to restrict the number of particles generated by effects to a smaller number (it's just text editing one file, a .ini extension file in your Documents/My Games/Fallout 76 directory).

What is your videocard? You might be able to do some resolution scaling (running at a smaller resolution dimensions, then the game is up-scaled to fit your monitor fullly).

Just some ideas

A ~10 year old gtx 1060 with even older i7-3770 and some hdd. My pc is on it's last legs, but it still runs this game mostly fine, just a few things hurt performance.

Fatman is the ultimate troll weapon. Even if youre not intending on being a troll, youre still inadvertently trolling. Every server ive been on where someone is spamming fatman in events usually ends up <5 players pretty quickly. Most people just nope outta there and go to a different server.

Double Shot MIRV Fatman makes Cremator seem like a wet fart :empirecross:

how rather than what.

fire the fatman down into the mining areas where mobs often get stuck in the ceilings preventing further spawns. the through-walls effect eliminates them allowing the rest of the playerbase to grind the event to maximum effect, A good rad rumble turn out requires players clearing the stuck mobs in some fashion;twice the ghouls spawn. plus nuka user gets their kills. "trolls" not troll weapon.

Its important to realize this is only one of several ways to fail an event by camping, or just screw it for everyone else instead of going to a private server. For instance if you have stealth snipers camping all kills and ignoring the objective - this is the most common one and a direct reason I will bomb the crap out of an event.

Example. Two snipers (maybe a third, wasn't sure where the last was situated though) on top of the sunday brothers cabin, crashing moonshine by getting all the kills but delivering nothing to the bathtub. The ten other players in attendance couldn't make up for the kills they couldn't get, at the end of the second wave with less than 10. So I nuked the crap out of the snipers view and used nuka grenades to get some broad hits in while stabbing the crap out of one of the snipers (in pacifist). Result was a completed event after I filled the tub and about 5 heart/salutes as I left. This is one correct usage of nuka items at public events (Aka NOT annoying players with it but using it to help them)

Oh and in advance I apologize if I chuck a nuka grenade at your feet when we're in some event, reader. I hope you realize you were surrounded by mobs/incoming mobs and the flash effect was not intended to troll you. (*Unless you're already trolling the event, obviously. Then I meant it.)

This is pretty important. Don't. Look for a reason they're doing the thing - like maybe no one was protecting the NPCs and they were about to be swarmed to death; as a melee user that's my only way to keep the NPCs alive.

Maybe players were being downed without being rezzed. Maybe its a response to other event-crashers. Leaving or blocking the person is not a solution though if you have to ditch the event do it. I really think fighting fire with... not fire, but a high-pressure fire hose... is the only effective way to handle it.

These are all very different than a guy standing in the middle of an event just spamming fatman shots in every direction he can just because he can. Im certainly not gonna tell people how they should play or what they choose as a weapon. But if someone is using a fatman non stop for simple stuff, even in cases where its not a matter of tag desperation or getting a hard to hit mob, then I am not sticking around for that. As soon as the events over, Im outta there(and from what ive seen in game in these circumstances, so are many others).

That's the beauty of it. If I dont want to play with people who spam nothing but a fatman and I dont have to. I dont like it so I leave, problem solved.

I also leave for another world when theres players who one shot mobs non stop and deny everyone else tags(even though rarely miss a tag thanks to tesla). I just dont enjoy playing with people like that so I choose not to and move on.

It's no biggy

Cheers. Best advice. Doesn't solve the long term issues but that's for devs to do, not for you. Relying on community reaction is the most effective advice I can give based on the devs failures to mend these sorts of issues in the past, but you are right. "Everyone has a gun" doesn't really work too well, though that's a bit of an extreme analogy.

Anywhere there are people in groups rules must be applied or there will quickly be a lot fewer people. A rule of people.

Pretty sure the guy in my example wasn't trying to get stuck enemies and I don't think I was griefing, I was running for ore and even down in the tunnels my fps would tank whenever his Fat Man would go off.

They butcher my sight though. I sincerly hate the cremator. Can´t see anything when people use it, and to top it off there is now that habit from cremator noobs of just praying and spraying everywhere where there is a slight chance of an enemy spawning.

What annoys me the most is when someone joins my expedition with a Cremator and is constantly shooting it at my feet when I'm attacking an enemy or something, other than that, it's not so bad. I play in third person most of the time so the explosions aren't right in my eyeballs.

Yep. They annoy the piss out of everyone and ruin weapon types for everyone leading to nerfs. It's happened before the fatman I'm sure it will happen again unless the devs get a handle on the social engineering bs. Thus my response. You're one hundred percent accurate in your initial post OP, my mentioning things is purely out of social concern. I will step out and stop derailing, now. My apologies.
