[Fashnacht] Beeswax not 'respawning' after event repeated
There seems to be a problem with the Beeswax 'refilling' in the Hives during Fashnacht (2024.06) - after the event is done once or twice on the same server, the Beeswax hives are 'empty' and no more Beeswax can be taken out for the Event - this is even after speaking to the Candle Haus robot (instigating the respawning of the objectives, eg. the eggs for the Baker Robot objective).

The squirrels are constantly respawning after talking to the Butcher Robot (which is great!) and the Eggs for the Baker Robot's donuts respawn after talking to that robot...so those all seem to be instigated/started correctly for each portion of the event items...but the Candle Robot, and Beeswax doesn't seem to be working - that is, the Beeswax is not 'respawning' or 'refilling' again, as the other objective items are, after interacting with the Robot to start them.

A few notes:
- Private Server (I play a month every once in a while, too expensive to keep it up all year lol) so noone else it taking it or anything, it is just me
- The other items (eggs, zombie squirrels) are respawning, it is just the Beeswax that is not
- I ran around the area in a wider circle, up the hills nearby, etc. but there were no hives otherwise
- The 1st time, there was Beeswax. The 2nd time, there was not enough Beeswax, so I used some I had in my Stash to complete it. The 3rd time, there was no Beeswax respawning/refilling the hives (in case this helps any programming flow issues)

HTH, have fun otherwise, everyone!

That's normal behaviour because the hives are world spawned containers.

The 'problem' is you. That is the game tracks your last 250 looted world objects including containers.

Because you've looted it the hives are on that list and won't respawn till you pick up 250 other items to push them off that list.

lol so the 'problem' is the way the game operates...

The game mechanic is restricting it's own gameplay experience - that is, a player cannot continue to play the Event as it is now. A needed item 'runs out' and a player can no longer play that Event; thus, it must be examined perhaps

((I dont know if there are even 250 other items in the area to loot, so that a participant in the Event can continue to play it lol))

I ran into that as well as I was just doing Fas event and working on my CAMP. Since I was CAMP building I was not looting enough between events I just moved to the steins or intestines and hit a good loot spot for 5 minutes after each event and seems to be enough that each event has the beeswax now.

If I may Reply to my own Posting - It just happened again.. odd because I have been playing off and on since B.E.T.A. and I do not remember this running-out-of-Beeswax as an issue...

Some suggestions:

- Setting the Honeybeasts to spawn until the Beeswax/Candle item count is satisfied would work. (although this might require being attached to Honey Haus Robot)

- Settings the Hives to repeatedly spawn Beeswax, or setting more Hives around Helvetica perhaps at random locations on trees, or have more Hives spawn at random locations until the Beeswax/Candle item count is satisfied would work. (eg. spawn Hives as the Radtoad Eggs for the Baker Robot do now, but they would be attached to trees, etc)

.

(Related:)
(If I may add, more locations or respawning Fertilizer or un-scrappable (but droppable) Fertilizer for the ''Dogwood Die-Off'' daily quest - if the player is an idiot and Auto-Scraps all Auto-Matically-Scrappable materials at a Workbench they run into, during the Dogwood daily quest - just in case the player is indeed an idiot and scraps a Quest Item (other Quest-related items seem to be protected more) lol)
