is nuka cola quantum collectron better than regular nuka collectron?

so i just bought the regular nuka cola collectron when it was on sale last week or so in the atomic shop. i've been enjoying it because of the constant flow of nuka cola twist and cranberry, and then i sell everything else i don't need in my shop for cheap.

however, today i noticed that you can just buy the quantum collectron from foundation with gold bullion, which i probably should have done instead of spending atoms.

my question is, from your personal experience or knowledge, what different sorts of loot does the quantum collectron provide compared to the regular aforementioned one? and would it be worth it for me to spend gold bullion on it after already having the basic nuka cola collectron?

i would appreciate your input!

I like the quantum one a lot. Especially that giant Quantum Sign. That's the showpiece imo.

They get different pools of items

The BEST is the fashnaught one as it will collect irridated sugar bombs (for brain bombs)
The SECOND BEST is the xmas one as it will collect presents anytime xmas scorched is happening

After that its whatever you like

I like the Communist Collectron because he brings me Swamp Tofu and Cup of Noodles and calls me Comrade all the time. I do have a few of the Raider Collectrons, he brings me guns, ammo and drugs and beer but always says he thinks about burning my camp down.

Agree with that but Fasnacht being best is subjective with how annoying its damn singing is lol. Big call, but i would miss out on my free sugar bombs just so i can actually have my sound on.

Do they loose the "special" item they bring when you program another collectron?

I know they don't 100% change pools so some items are still generated from the "original" collectron you install other programs in - so when you switch the Nuka collectron to, say, ore collection, it will still generate a Nuka every now and then or an empty bottle.

Not tinkered with that much so I have no clue if special collectrons you own are accessible from for example the terminal of the junk dog, but may be worth a try.

I believe some people prefer the regular nuka one because it'll give you nuka cranberry. Nuka Cranberry doesn't have many ground spawns, aren't easy to find and it gives you an experience bonus for an hour if you give one to Leo (nuka security ghoul companion).

This bonus stacks with other experience bonuses such as rested, food related bonuses and intelligence.

I use nuka cola collector asnd it suppplies my nuka quantums. Im not reading whaty you wrote tho, sorry in a rush

FWIW I use the dog (junkyard or fetch) and it rakes in cranberry nuka. In my actual experience, and can harvest anything. My dogs have harvested gifts a plenty - you can set any collectron to harvest X-Mas Gifts from what I have done (dog, raider, nuka).

I know people try to get this or that to craft this or that rare food or chem, but I never use any of that sh*t. No chem/food buffs get considered in my gameplay - ALL of it goes to the vendor, donation box or the ground. Why the heck don't they make a build that doesn't require consumables?

Also, noisy vendors, collectrons, spookly bowls, and the rest keep folks from loitering around your CAMP. :)

No, it's worse. It will bring you more Nuka Quantums, but you really just want regular Nuka Colas so you can make hundreds of sweet sweet Nuka Grenades.

Between harvesting the semi-rare Nuka flavors for challenges and my love of using Nuka Grenades I prefer the regular Nuka-Collectron.

You can change the collectron and still keep the collecting of fasnacht items; the little terminal connected to every collectron allows you to switch what items they collect.

Quantum was a reward from the nuka-cola season, and has a chance to bring you nuclear waste, ultracite scrap, and the twist flavor.

I would keep the normal nuka-cola collectron for the cranberry/orange/grape.
