Guessing there's no workaround or fix...how has bethesda been making games for decades but they still have some of the worst settings and accessibility out there...
weird.
There are 3 settings in game: "Bordered Window", "Borderless Window", and "Fullscreen". I play on "Fullscreen". Unless I'm mistaken this is the 'exclusive fullscreen' setting for this game.
The mouse does not easily escape the window, it is only when I turn fast - like turning suddenly to respond to being shot in the back for example - and the act of moving the mouse in 1 direction really fast has the mouse break free from Fullscreen for an instant as I turn. The mouse is quickly drawn back in by the game, but if you try to turn fast and shoot fast (like to shoot someone who is shooting you..) then the moment you click to shoot is within that short moment where the cursor is outside of the Fullscreen mode. So basically I have to slowly turn or avoid clicking any time I turn suddenly...pretty awful in an fps, imo..
So it is not the same as when opening a map or something where you can easily move your cursor back and forth. The game is intending and trying to keep the mouse clamped to the screen, but fails in the described context. Very problematic if you twitch response to someone shooting you, and instead are suddenly looking at your desktop when you try to shoot them, or break yourself from ads'ing as I described in my second comment.
