Choose specific legendary effects on equipments
What would you guys think of this: have the possibility to choose specific 1, 2 and 3 star legendary effects on weapons/armor/power armor, as today I can only randomly set up them, making me waste too many modules and cores?
I already posted a suggestion on Bethesda Support with something like this:
I would like to choose specific legendary effects on my weapons, armor and power armor equipment, as today I can only randomly set legendary effects on those same equipments, making me waste too many legendary cores and modules.
As to choose specific legendary effects, the cost should be double the cost of random set, for example:
* 1 Star legendary effect on weapon:
* Random (as it is today): 2 modules, 1 core;
* Specific - *** it changes only this effect ***: 4 modules, 2 cores
* 2 Stars legendary effect on weapon:
* Random (as it is today): 3 modules, 3 cores;
* Specific - *** it changes only this effect ***: 6 modules, 6 cores
* 3 Stars legendary effect on weapon:
* Random (as it is today): 4 modules, 5 cores;
* Specific - *** it changes only this effect ***: 8 modules, 10 cores
So to choose each of the 3 stars legendary effects on a weapon it would cost 4 + 6 + 8 = 18 modules and 2 + 6 + 10 = 18 cores. It would be pretty straightforward (and I would happily spend all of these modules and cores to set up my weapon legendary effects properly).
The same should be applied for both armor and power aror pieces. I think if this game had this feature, it would be far more fun to play.

Any suggestions need to be given to Bethesda on their support site, their discord, or their sub-reddit.

The answer from Bethesda will be NO! That is counter productive to their 'Economy'.

It's computationally difficult because the creation engine (or at least as used by Bethesda) doesn't seem to use variables at all.

At least as far as I could tell back when the datamines were available the lack of using variables makes this kind of thing a massive task.

A table would have to be made for every star combination you want to keep. That leads to a lot of chances for something to go wrong.

What we have now is simple because the game rolls once each time (3 tables for 1,2 or 3 *). It isn't ideal as time to success is between one and infinity, but it works.

This was how they were going to ORIGINALLY do legendary crafting (just at a MUCH higher cost)

they then went well in just 3 months players can get equipment they want, that isn't enough grind

lets make it random... 12+ years yes that is good for weapons and armour? 32+ years yes yes

they maliciously decided to go the opposite way of your post

@Phantom thank you for writing this, I will try my harder to negotiate with Bethesda to have this option, as had some time ago, back together with random one.
