Maybe Its Too Populated?
I love this game and the new show but, it seems that since the show dropped I cannot find a populated world to save my life. Everyone I log into has maybe 5 people in it. Anyone else feeling this?

The worlds are just as populated (24 per server) but a higher percentage of players are newbies that are still doing solo quests and haven't gotten into the cycle of showing up to events consistently yet. Give it a few weeks and those newbies will either have gotten bored or be done with many quests and ready to jump in events.

You just don't see them.

Servers are full.

Full of low levels out of the starter zone, not having visible camps, not appearing at events, etc.

Give it a few weeks for the rush to subside so people are leveled up, a bit more experienced with how everything works hopefully, and more mixed medium to high to very high level players come on the same servers again.

Edit: Once is fine and happens, but now I'm starting to get irritated.
Stop ninja'ing me or this gets ugly fast.

Kidding, good on you for helping out

I should have thought of this. I have prime real estate down at the base of 76's mountain too. Guess I should take advantage of it!

I bet a lot of people play on private servers, to avoid the griefers/numbnuts that inevitably show up in public multiplayer games.

Being greifed is option and I am pretty sure not everyone who is playing is paying for first. Even the trail doesnt include private worlds.

I just picked up FO76 and almost at level 50 so I wanted to start doing some events with others but I barely see anyone doing them.
I see only full servers, most are new players, do not see high level players like me that much anymore.

Another thing to consider is that many New players are sneaking/crouching and when they do, you don't see them on the map.

Plus, when any player is doing an Expedition or DO they don't show on the map then either.

I stealth so you won't see me unless I have to run.

yah, even i felt that, but if you this there not much people, you can join an other world by going to menu and re joining after few minutes

Something you have to account for with new player influx is that a lot of these players are just figuring it out. The server average player count went from 8k to 60 k; that's not a double population hop, it's 85% new players. The servers just can't keep up with 50% of a massively increased player population not knowing what they're doing - getting stuck or confused, dropping, or even the all too common not making it out of the vault.

Yes, this is (part of) the problem. 50% of the population is constantly fluctuating and that number is greater than the previous peak player count.

The low-level players may not even have camps displayed, and if they're doing the quest lines they may be indoors more, meaning less dots on the map. That would mean they're busy questing rather than doing events.

The servers only hold 24 people and there are tens of thousands of active players, this has literally 0 impact on your servers.

It is possibly a new player problem.

Each server only holds 24 players, but it reserves slots for people who had teamed up (you can actually get 32 players per server via team invites).

If someone was on a team but left the server it reserves that spot so they can rejoin the team. If enough people do this it can result in an under populated server.

It may not be intentional either as the game is crash prone. As a courtesy players should get used to leaving teams before they log off.
