Custom worlds

I was playing with friends in a modified custom world, and i made it to like level 26 and just logged on today, and im back to what i started at, does custom worlds not save progress what is going on here, when i last played they did

Custom world character progression is independent.

The game mode exists for soft-hacking the game to meet users' individual desires so far as tweaking enemy damage or survival mechanics. Feel the mobs are too strong/weak? Tired of other players sabotaging public events with ridiculous methods? Play worlds. It has literally no other advantage or purpose.
