If you increase the number of allowed NPCs you use up to the increase*24 as that is the max players per server, in normal situations.
Those NPCs are taken from events and world spawns. Some events such as silo runs take priority so NPCs are culled from other areas such as daily ops.
Your camp will be more lively, but the rest of the world won't...
there ABSOLUTELY has to be a way around that. sure with minimal work, like just bumping the number up, it will have undesired adverse effects but there has to be a way. like if a mannequin counts as an npc, why not just allow me to have an actual "alive" npc?
I actually just folded and moved to a bandit camp so i can feel like my camp is alive. im a free radical raider basing with the free radicals, but i just WISH we could have 2 allies. i want to have a "bouncer" at my door along with becketts at his bar. so many thematic things could happen if we had 2 allies. like even a chef and a server. i will be getting pets, but that's going to be at level 70-90 because i dont have the right perk cards to get a pet yet.
we give shelter to many, beth sells other ones, but just can place one = absurd.
you can have them until someone nuke your camp. I lost my deathclaw for 5 months that way when someone nuke the ridge near vault 76 where my camp is at.
