gonna look into it thanks
works wonder on most enemies and tend to give back most of ammunition.
Its fun, its under appreciated, deals solid damage (will one shot Super Mutants with the right build and roll), its very good on ammo and ammo is easy to craft. Highly recommended with the proper build.
While certainly not as effective overall, it's a lot of fun and you have a lot of options in style.
Lever action for that cowboy feel, handmade turned into a SpecOps stealth sniper, or one of my favorites for my raider themed character, the "pipe revolver modded into a rifle" combo that still works with both rifleman and pistol perk cards for that trashy wastelander jury rigged theme.
And all get you way more ammo back than you'll ever need.
For that, you need a correct build, using buffs when it's needed (like plenty of ennemies) and a good weapon (long list, here), that's it ... !
As mentioned, Plasma Caster and Gatling are some of the highest tier and easiest to use weapons that fall into this category. You can just as easily throw a sniper barrel on a laser or plasma gun, though, sticking to rifleman over commando with non-auto barrels for your ballistic rifles.
Only way to gain ammo is bloodied or partying all the time i think.
Funny how all my characters that are not bloodied unyielding got on just fine and had tons of ammo as well. Many other players share this experience. Sure bloodied may be the "go to" build for some but it is not the only way to play. Game knowledge is far more important that what exact meta build you are running.
