I like my 10mm but does it ever get better?

I'm still low level, 30s, but I'm trying to work out what I want for my permanent weapons. The 10mm pistol has always been my favorite weapon even tho it always seems to end up being a bit under powered for most things, but I kinda still want to keep with it.

So far I have only had one opportunity do do a upgrade on on but it's a lower level and I never seem to find any at my level.

I have been seeing a plan available for it but I haven't bought it yet and I'm trying to decide if I should. What would that actually do for me?

So far I have been rotating between my 10mm, a scoped .44 pistol with a legendary, which I also haven't been able to find a better version of yet, a regular .308 sniper which i also haven't found anything better yet, and a hunting rifle with a legendary.

The 10mm is nice because it's fast but lately I'm finding I'm using the .44 and sniper more often than not and my little 10mm is getting used less and less, and the hunting hunting rifle I seem to rarely use at all any more. The .44 gets annoying in close quarters because of the scope tho, and it's slow, and same with the sniper as well.... obviously,,,, which was my reasoning for keeping the hunting rifle.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is am I making things harder on myself trying to stick with this type of load out? It seems like I'm constantly having to switch between weapons and most encounters still seem like they are "harder" than I'm thinking they really should be. What should I looking for to keep thing relevant. Should I be buying plans or scrapping everything I can find that might be related?
I am already thinking on dumping the hunting rifle for something else, possibly the combat rifle if I can ever find one with a good level.

have you just been searching for mods for the 10mm? you can deconstruct other 10mm to get more mods, thats why you want to pick them up when you see them. that goes for all armor and weapons, you can buy and find mods as well still

learn hardened receiver and ultracite prime mods, and if your lucky to roll a bloodied or anti-armor plus rapid, it packs a punch against normal mobs, combined with sandman for the silencer bonus and sneak. It struggles hard against bosses though

I have finally started to grab and scrap them when I can tho and I was finally able to do a mod on it, but it is a lower level still and I haven't found a higher level one yet. u can make it more powerfull with right perks but still cannot be same as rifle even the crusader and gauss pistol doesnt do much

btw if your pistol is basic i can make it legendary for you got some extra modules

It's a good starter/noob weapon, but other weapons of same weapon type are better.

Also commando > rifleman. You are gimping yourself if you don't switch to auto rifles.

u can use handmade at low level too one of the best auto rifles

Thanks, I just recently finished a quest that started me with the scrip. I haven't been able to work out yet if using them for modules or specific mods would be better.

Lol I was playing around with a couple different shotguns for a bit but didn't have any cards for them and kept getting my butt kick every time I tried.

yea you can buy the plan for the 10mm i think its at morgan town station but i could be wrong

well i dont play that because its meta i just love the look of the rifle i dont care about damage but it happens to be good
