but ive always felt most weapons were a bit niche. the LMG being outdamaged by the 50 cal , but having better accuracy, less recoil. etc.
the gauss weapon ammo was hard to make and find back then, if you got your camp setup correctly that shoud be easier now.
we get a few changes in the meta from time to time, but the armor piercing perk is most important, the damage per shot makes the gatling better vs bosses imo.
the way DR is set up we cant use all the weapon in all situations.bosses have more DR.
I think they all drop the same:
"It drops with the following legendary effects:
Vampire's: Restore 2% health over 2 seconds when you hit an enemy.
Rapid: +25% faster attack speed.
Durability: Breaks 50% slower.
Cursed:[1] +15% damage, +20% faster attack speed, -4 durability.
Additional effect: 18 fire damage over 3 seconds (normal is 9/3sec).
Like other named items from the Once in a Blue Moon update, the player can re-roll the main three effects while the unique effects will remain innate to the weapon."

There are so many viable builds, i use secret service armour and a gauss shotgun build.
Nothing i can't solo, and is great fun blasting stuff to crap.
That being said, Flamer and Plasma Caster for Heavy really melt everything. A Plasmacaster can hit for 1200+ Critdamage per Hit. A Flamer can melt an unlimited number of close up enemies.
