Why do people keep kicking me from teams?
I'm new and was under the impression that casual teams didn't mean anything, but every time I join a team I'm quickly removed and whenever I create a team, nobody joins it. Do I smell?

#1 reason, open mic or talking to much. Not there so don't know but I rarely get kicked in my hundreds of hours of playing, I will kick open mics who don't turn it off after asking.

Never believe the "X kicked you" or "You got removed from the team", it's 98% not the players doing this, it's the system kicking you for reasons.

While my personal experience has been rather stable, I do get the occasional "X has kicked you" which is weird because that's my wife sitting across the room and she didn't touch her social tab.

Might be connection hiccups, no idea, but generally and most often, it's not you or them, it's the game.
Though sometimes someone wants to make space for a late arriving friend or something, sure, but if it happens a lot, I'd look into my internet stability or deal with it F76 just being F76.

Could also be, yes.
Although most people (I know) turn off VoIP anyway, so not sure it should account for a lot of team kicks on the level OP is describing.

I don't have a mic set up and it's set to push to talk anyway. My connection should be stable, it's wired and I've never experienced hiccups with anything else. -shrug-

Just make your own team or join teams created by other low level players. If you're joining a team with high-level players and getting kicked, they most likely were friends playing together with mics and stuff.

Yes, 99% of the time it is a bug that is causing the problem.

It could be that they are wanting to make room for a friend, or you are sharing a perk that conflicts with their build, or you joined a Daily Operations or Expedition team, the rest of them went into the DO or Expo, and you didn't join. So they are wanting to "keep you from reward leaching" at the end.

But don't take it personally and if you see me, I love being on teams with low levels and helping them.

It's most likely that person just stands there and absolutely does nothing. Just waiting to be awarded with the end rewards for doing nothing while the others are doing/did all the work, I will kick you out of my team. I don't care what level you are...do something! I did when I was low level and I was hardly ever kicked out of a team. If you are being annoying like "give me this" Give me that" entitle little schitt kinda person, I will kick you from my team.

Are quest rewards split with group members? Like do you get less reward when there’s more people in your group?

either same or more rewards, depends on the bug of the day, but never less rewards

No, teammates get extra caps based on each player's Charisma stat. You literally lose nothing if you are in a team.

The only thing that can be harmful in a team is actually perk sharing. There are some perks like Born Survivor (auto stimpack every minutes while <20% HP) that can enrage people/ So be careful what you share

Unless it's an automatic thing, I shouldn't be sharing anything.

It's not. You select a card yourself in your perk card screen. Nothing is shared until you select a card or two/

So: all the reasons you can be kicked in theory:

1. A party of 4 players needs your spot in group
2. Leader being a doucge
3. Being AFK in a party for Daily operations/expeditions
4. Sharing a bad perk
5. Not having mutations. Players with mutations have to stick in a party with at least 1 jther mutant to get all the bonuses
6. Bug surprise mechanic on game's part

Thats all I can think of. Being kicked Is not a big deal anyway.

Start your own team, use a mic and state you want to do the goal of the team. I would recommend finishing whitesrping refuge "code Blue" making you eligible for expeditions.

4. Sharing a bad perk

You can share any perk cards you want to share with your teammates!! If you don't want teammates perk cards to affect your character. Then go to your setting to turn this on or off. I have mine turn off because I don't want other teammates perk cards to effect my character.

Go into your settings within the game
Go to settings
Go down until you see "reject incoming shared perk
(Prevents perks shared by teammates from affecting your character)
You are welcome! =)
