Stealth Commando Build
Anyone know if there's an easy way to obtain the Fixer? Trying to do a stealth commando build (following a website), and have no idea where to find it.

Player Vendors.

Handmade Rifle is a decent second.

Otherwise, you can either get lucky on "Encryptid" drops or do the questline to get to Encryptid.

If you choose to join Encryptid, don't touch anything. Let the veterans push buttons. Just shoot the guy when he appears.

You can get it from completing the "Wolf in sheep's clothing" quest.
But, if you are really desperate, I know the plan, so I can make and give you one?

Fixer and Handmade rifle are both great. Just the Fixer is a bit better due to its built in effects that make it the best choice for a stealth commando play style.

If you have at least a few thousand caps you could get lucky pick one up from another players vendors. For me at least i see them all the time for sale with ok legendary effects.

You can then grind for modules and cores to re roll it to aim for better effects.

Currently level 28 pretty early on in the build, I’m more than happy to pitch anything of mine in to get a fixer crafted that would save me a lot of time and caps lol. In the mean time I’ll google this quest line and begin doing that once I’m home later tonight. I’ll send you a friend request on steam also :)

Thanks for the reply, I’ll look into this encryptid quest line once I'm back on tonight!

Guides are nt absolute. Stealh Automatic weapons are OP, so any automatic rifle with a suppressor will do. "Assault rifle" is a bit weaker in all stats. I go with Handmade Rifle when i feel like it.

You can grab unmodded and modded Fixers or a scheme from player vendors. 1/5 to 1/3 of sold weapons are Fixers.

If you are a big wierdo you can use VOICE CHAT to ask or exchange for one. You most likely will get some for free.

Encryptid is the entire questline. "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" is just the part of it that rewards the plans to craft the weapon.

Honestly, at level 28, just use a Combat Rifle. "The Fixer" is literally a Combat Rifle that has some extras. It uses the same weapon mods that you get from scrapping Combat Rifles.

Can recommend getting a Railway rifle for the time instead. Min level to carry is 30. You can buy one at Berkeley Springs Station (between a treehouse village and a rand dome on the map).

Automatic reciever can be bought from vendor bots in Watoga. Ammo is easy to find and it packs a punch, but its a very loud one.

You get modules from Purveyor Murmrgh in Rusty Pick by selling unwanted lerendary weapons/armor at Legendary exchange machines. Every train yard has one.

I'll take you up on that. Let me know how you want to meet up. I can provide any crafting materials needed. Thanks!

Legendary cores are awarded by public events that have an exclamation mark on the map. Legendary modules have to be purchased with legendary scrips at Rusty Pick in the Ash Heap region. You get legendary scrips from legendary weapons and armor using the legendary exchange machine in every train station.
