Too bright !!!
game looks really washed out and way too bright
anybody's an idea why and how to fix it?

I keep my screen brightness right down so don't have this issue at all. Also use a colour profile, which prevents game from taking over my colours and keeps them true. Maybe your screen is set to way too bright?

couple of suggestions in Fallout76Custom.ini try messing with these values:
I know these will affect the whiteness in the ss but might also affect the darker areas too so experiment

If you are up around Grafton the toxic waste always looks like that, other areas are darker.

I fixed it by increasing the contrast and color saturation.
