Laser Rifle/Plasma Grenade/Plasma Cutter w/ Hellstorm Missile Launcher

Or

Hellstorm is terrible in terms of damage, better avoid. Laser rifle is also pretty much bad.

Of all the weapons he mentioned only Handamde is good, with good roles of course. I have anti-armor, explosive Handmade and is so much fun. I also have Quad Handmade with Explosive. And this weapon has such a cool sound. Plasma Cutter is disaster, it deals high damage but it looks very weird and has that weird sound when equipped that you can not turn off.

Plasma Grenade? Who the fork makes and uses Plasma Grenades? What you gonna do with them anyway? If you want to be a real grenadier, then buy plan for Dynamite and also buy Nuka Colas like crazy and make those sweet Nuka Grenades, like hundreds of them. I steal from people's collectrons Nuka Colas all the time so I make them almost for free, i only have to buy Bulk aluminum.

Explosive anything auto, especially vamps is a lot of fun. Anti armor is fine with it on a handmade. Hellstorm might be decent if intelligence has an effect on the mods; I haven't played with that as yet but if so it might be usable - otherwise yeah it's terrible.

Mirv frags work well with an auto-vamps weapon. Or if you wanna use those in combo with a vamps power fist you'll stay alive - provided you have appropriate armor to not off yourself instantly with the MIrvs. Power fist is a fine if you have explosive palm; I think there's an electric mod for it, or maybe that's the gauntlet? That might benefit from science perks as well. The combo should be decent - make sure it's faster swing speed.

If you really want to up your game OP go Pulse with Vamps Gauss weaponry.

Plasma grenades, you throw them at groups of enemies and they die. That is what you do with them :)

I use plasma grenades all the time. Never had to make them as the game just gives me them from events or loot all the time so i make use of them. Nothing wrong with them they work just fine.

These are just my general use grenades i can spam. I save my nukas for more important things.

I think we all glazed past the most important part here.

OP are you set up for Heavy weapons, rifles, melee, and explosive simultaneously?
And science?

Yes, I also use every type of grenade too, except of Molotov cocktails. When the game gives me for free, I use it. But it's not a viable way to be a real grenadier, you have to make grenades, like hundreds of them. I have dedicated Grenadier build and I make like 200 Dynamite and 100 Nuka Grenades at once. Nuka Grenades are tricky though because it's not easy to get so many Nuka Colas. And one of the best weapons for Grenadier is M79 Grenade Launcher, almost nobody uses it but I found it to be excellent weapon because it's much less ammo hungry than Nuka Cola launcher. If you manage to get 2 shot M79 its probably the best explosive weapon in the game to use it non stop. And don't forget Fire in the Hole 3 perks, it's awesome. You can drop a grenade from Wayward to almost Vault 76.

All options presented are not optimal DPS.

OP you may find it hard to be spec adequately into so many different things all at once. It can be done but you may be making compromises on your build to do so.

There is the talons mutation which makes unarmed melee weapons like powerfist, and mole miner/deathclaw gauntlets better without needing perks. I like using these weapons for this reason as i can get away with not needing as many melee perks to make them ok.

Just depends what you want out of this really. Jack of all trades builds using too many different weapon types tend too be poor unless you are bloodied with low hp and have adrenal reaction to make all weapons regardless of type or prefix do more damage.

Did not miss it, i got distracted on something else :)

Missile launcher is an explosive launcher so uses demo expert not the heavy gunner perks.

I would only recommend the science perks for the extra damage for laser rifles etc if you have the free space in intelligence. The extra damage they offer is tiny and is totally not worth the perk investment.

He asked about Grenadier build, and if you want to be Grenadier, then grenades are your main weapons. Rifles, pistols, heavy guns or melee are then just a support weapon for close combat. OP, if you want to be real grenadier, I advise you to first use all perks possible for Explosive/Grenades effects. And then use remaining perks into your 1 support weapon, ideally with explosive effect too. Automatic Explosive Handmade would be a very powerful support weapon, when are you chased by the ghouls for example. I've tried every build in the game and for me personally Grenadier is the most fun.

Missiles are really cool too, but that ammo is not so abundant and its quite heavy. I collect missiles over time and then when Eviction Notice pops up, I take my Boomstick and use 200-300 missiles, it's so funny.

Oooo Hellstorm doesn't benefit from heavy either? That seems like an easy way to not make it suck so much tho...
