I like it but a while back they made it so the explosive visual effect is much larger and i find it annoying as you cannot see anything. It is ammo heavy to use but if you are ok with that it is a gun that will serve you well.
It matters very little, the explosive effect isnt for damage as much as it is for tagging enemies for XP. So as long as the Radius of Effect is not diminished the damage was never that great to begin with.
From using it, I find the explosive affect to already be nerfed, but I like the weapon :)
With the batteries included perk 1000 rounds weighs 3 lbs. Ultracite 2mm is the same weight as the regular ammo also.
Elemental explosive effect PTS to LIVE
Some explosive effects in the game, such as the 2-star explosive effect and the Gauss effect, deal damage based off a percentage of projectile damage. This percentage multiplier has always been respected by physical damage, but defaulted to 100% for elemental damage: this is why a Handmade’s explosive effect does 20% damage, but a Laser rifle’s explosive effect used to do 100% damage.
This multiplier has now been fixed for elemental damage. This will significantly reduce the explosive damage for all of the following:
The following are unaffected by this specific change as they don’t use the projectile damage multiplier for explosive damage:
*Let's hope they get it right instead of being yet another example of poorly trained employees nerfing for no purpose beyond self sabotage.
Stop nerfing stuff; it only shows their own limitations in game design and balance.
