Yeah so was Bethesda giving this game away for free some kind of scam?

I played this on Xbox when it was new and PvP is dope....
Managed to get to lvl 57 in this free PC version and one has passive mode off, at all...
So what are you suppose to do exactly besides events?

PvP is basically gone. If you're not into RPGs and base building, look elsewhere.

The scam, if you want to call it that, is that it inflates their numbers and also, potentially, results in you buying from their cash shop/subscription.

Anyway, there are non-repeatable quests in the game and you can focus on maximizing a particular build, but there's basically no particular point to this game. I find it relaxing, you are welcome to like it for different reasons.

I build my base, buy and sell weapons at my shop, do events, explore knock out quests, join others for exploring.

As a veteran player i do still have tons of fun in the game, have serveral camps i try to make something nice of it, doing some left over achievements, doing dailies caus i like them, farm of treasure notes to get everything you can buy with gold bullion, farming Legendary scripts to fine tune my UY gear and roll some god-roll weapons for trading.

So as you see? I do a lot in the game only thing i avoid in this game is PvP caus i'm to old for it and i'm so terrible at it.

EPIC Games is the worst offender of this. I still remember when EPIC store first started a thai bot farm registered 30,000+ EPIC accounts using old email addresses. EPIC had zero oversight and let them sign up people under bogus names then wouldn't let people who found out like myself cancel those accounts until EPIC did an internal investigation... stalling just long enough for their launch numbers to look amazing and investor cash pour in.

It's not a PvP game. I played in 2018 and while different from now I don't remember PvP ever being a big part of it. Multiplayer games aren't all PvP. People actually can play with each other. It doesn't always have to be against each other.
