The worst base building I've ever seen.

I mean the UI, the "rules" of building, everything. How did they eff it up this bad? And I'm assuming it's been like this for a while and they decided it was ok. Wow.

I've played off and on for awhile but never got into the actual base building until now and my god it makes me want to quit again.

So don't. Throw down a C.A.M.P., surround it with crafting stations and you can be done. Base building is an optional system, not a required one.

Using a controller's trigger buttons make it easier for more precise rotation, but yeah it is pretty bad, it's ripped straight from FO4. It's not impossible though. If it helps they added a separate spectator cam view mode to make building easier, but just like rotation, it moves way too fast.

It is still way better than fallout 4. Shoutout to 21Kiloton on youtube he just recently reviewed "Sons of the Forest" which has IMO the worst camp building system I've ever seen.

In order for you to claim it is the worst, you must be comparing it to something else. What are you comparing it to?

You can check my games if you really want to know. Out of all the games I have with some base building aspect to it, this is by far the worst.

i don't find it extremely bad.

i'm just puzzled with doors that won't accept to face the proper direction and some wallpapers that refuse to attach to some walls...

about walls, in each house set, i can't figure how to use the unrectangular ones...

The sloped ones go with roofs or you can combine sloped pieces together to make walls.
