Most important public events?
Which events do you value the most? I want to do them all, but if I do that then I'll never get any quests done, so currently I'm just sticking with the alien event, campfire tales for possum tokens and encrypted for the fixer plan. Any other events I should try to attend whenever I can?

You should just do any events you want and if you want to do quests instead just ignore the events no matter what they are.

Personally (and I think many will agree) Eviction Notice is a high tier event. You get more legendary weapon drops from it than from several hours of any other events. For XP there are a few other great ones like Radiation Rumble and Moonshine Jamboree, but XP isn't that hard to get.

Top public events (not counting player triggered events) in no particular order.

Eviction Notice
Radiation Rumble
Moonshine Jamboree
Special events going on at the time like Mothman Equinox, Alien Invasion, Grahms Meat cook.

A bad habit to get into that will ruin you playing your way is taking every public event that pops.

Don't. In the middle of something you enjoy and a profitable event pops? let it go, keep playing your way; hit the event if you can.

Exceptions do apply; Nuke events and Encryptid. Those three events take effort and resources for players to start - they don't just pop. Always attend them and help out other players if you can; however I strongly believe you should maintain the same philosophy in sticking to your play style.

**BM left an accurate list of the most profitable events you probably don't want to miss. Mind, my advice applies mainly to players who have their Build established. As a newb, hit these mentioned events as much as possible.

Radiation rumble. Great xp. Can be lots of legendaries as well. Lately for me they are 1 star ones mainly though.

Eviction Notice. Good xp and you get tons of legendaries if you tag or are nearby the legendary spawns on the lower side of the crater. If you, pick up all the regular weapons you can probably get your daily caps done in one hit as well. Close to walk back to Foundation if you are over weight to sell items but it is far from a scrip machine.

Moonshine jamboree is also good. Moonshine and Eviction notice events also give faction rep. Eviction gives settler rep and moonshine gives raider rep.

All the seasonal and limited time events are worth doing. Attend all nukes and the encryptid event as these are started by a player so it is good to support them taking the time and resources to start the event. Others are fun but not as profitable as these above.

This is fair. I just don’t want to find myself in the future suddenly really wanting/needing this rare thing that I could have been farming as I played.

I always look for "Dropped Connection". Every 10 of those events or so you will get an Enclave Plasma Rifle with Reflex Sights and if you're super lucky, the flamer barrel mod already attached.

I actually have 2 good EPR-Flamers and 1 EPR-Sniper Rifle and just got a fresh one with the refle sights AND flamer barrel already on it. Not sure what to do with it since I am max caps, don't want to sell it and don't really need it. I also won't give it away because that has to be the first time I've not had to run back and forth for hours looking for the barrel mod (which I have an extra in stash lol). Maybe it's a super lucky drop and if I try to Lego Mod it it will be a God Roll. Maybe I will...

In case you or others did not already know the events that show up with an exclamation mark in the middle will give treasury notes if you have already completed the main quest line. Treasury notes can be traded for gold bullion to buy end game items and plans etc.

So prioritising these over regular events is a good idea.

Please save your steam points. I already have more than i know what to do with. :VBOY:

Thank you for the question.
I love reading stuff like this to expand my limited knowledge.
