Alien disintegrator, How do i get this thing?

I've been running the alien event since it came out, I've gotten nearly every mod for it, But not the gun itself, Is it a drop from here? Have i been so unlucky that I'm now questioning if it seems like the *only* drop i haven't gotten is this gun, enough to question if it actually is a drop?

he plan for it is a drop, and I think they are tradeable now, so you can buy one from another player

You can get the plan from the alien event, after learning the plan it can drop as a legendary whenever you get legendary loot
