Can't Complete Spring Cleaning Event in Power Armor?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the Spring Cleaning objectives update if you're in a suit a power armor, even with the Abraxo Pip-Boy skin equipped.

We wear only undies inside the armor. Unfortunately you need to step out of the armor, pick up the item and hop in armor again.

Correct, because you're not actually equipped with a pip boy while in power armour, everything gets unequipped when you step into one of the suits.

Just one more reason to never bother with a set of it.

You can not use a Washing Machine or Clothes Dryer in Power Armor.

Yes you can. It's a just a technicality of the system. Doing the event requires you to be wearing your pip-boy with the event skin on it, while you're in power armor, you're not technically wearing your pipboy.

Has anyone tried it in just a frame? Like.. leave pip-boy arm off?

On the back end side of things, being in power armour, is changing character model, it's a whole separate entity. If you watch someone getting into a suit you can see the moment things swap over, when the character models are swapped out. While in armour your base character isn't present anymore since that's where the pip boy is you can't have it equipped in armour as that character despawns.

i was very surprised and disappointed last night.
after picking up a handfull of soap and Abraxo cleaner, they had not counted.

i checked without PA, that worked.

THEN, i checked if in PA i had access to my Pip Boy. The answer was YES.

So, you have access to info, radio stations and so on via the Pip Boy, but...the Event just ignores this and i find this extremely lame...especially when you have to pick them up between robots, feral ghouls and the rest

You don't use the pip boy in power armour, it has it's own separate menu, you have zero access to the actual pip boy in power armour.

The frame is what unequips everything. The armor plates don't do anything but add protection. Except for head equipment - the frame doesn't remove those, but the armor piece does.

I don't think anyone, including me, would be bothered if the enter/exit animations weren't so tedious. It's one of those things where they've known it annoys the living crap out of players for years now but simply don't care.
