Which (if any these days) vendors will buy my excess ammo?

Hello folks.

I'm only level 26 so don't have much money.

I noticed how much spare ammo I had and how much it was beginning to weigh so I thought I'd sell most of it off.

I googled NPC vendors that are supposed to buy my ammo. I know not all do or did.

One guide mentioned the Vendor Bot Raider at Pleasant Valley station but I just tried that and it isn't working. Maybe the guide info is out of date now but it was posted in Feb 2024.

I just got the game so a lot of google info is outdated.

Anybody provide me with up to date locations of vendors who will buy it as of now?

It depends on the type of ammo but I've had some luck selling some at my own vendor. As far as I know you can't sell them to vendors, but I'm pretty new as well.

But as for pricing them yourself, I just put everything I have (no energy based ammo) for 1 cap each and some sell, some just stay there forever. If there are vendors that buy it, I'd like to know as well.

you might need to convert it to specific types of ammo using an ammo converter, plenty of other people will have them in their camps for you to use. you lose some value when you do it, but the truth is that most bullets are not worth 1 cap and the game does not do fractional pricing for that.

you cant sell ammo to npcs, only convert it or sell it to other players using your camp

I was swimming in so much of one type of ammo, was using one firearm and switched to another. I ended up buying the ammo converter in the Atom Shop (also had some Atom saved up) since I was running out of the ammo I been using for my new firearm.

Try to get the Strength perk bandolier I think. Ammo weight is 90% less carry, need 3* and only on person, not in stash.

You can't sell it to vendors but, you can set up your vendor and sell it to other players. If it's causing issues with weight/storage...just drop what you don't need.
I have extra caps to burn...I'll buy ammo. What ammo do you have and what is your price tag per round?

No vendors buy ammo.
No vendors buy plans.

I will buy fuel, .45, or plasma ammo from player vendors if it's cheap.

I will convert ammo which piles up with the ammo converter when bored/rushed.

if you're low in caps pick up everything you see junk chems and outfits and what you don't need most can be sold to the vendors

I hate that they specifically made the ammo converter a tedious pain in the ass to use, there is no other excuse for how convoluted and clunky it is.

I know it's easy to get anyway just though I'd try get some caps for the thousands of shotgun and .308 ammo I have. Need spare weight in stash.

Will just donate it to a friend and they can vend or convert it for me.

Vendors do NOT buy ammo. You either have FO1st for the ammo box, put it in your vending machine for 1 cap each to sell to other players, or throw it away.
