Has turning in Technical Data been removed from the game?
I have 3 pieces of tech data, I have that holo tape, but I can't seem to re-trigger the forbidden knowledge quest anymore. I did the Mother of Invention quest and even discovered Fort Venture. Scribe Valdez doesn't even have a conversation option to turn any in.

If you have tech data on your person the quest should be active. If they are in your stash it is not. Take one out and the quest should start. Only take one out at a time because it removes them all from inventory but doesn’t multiply the rewards.

If you are in certain parts of the quest line from there, then Valdez will not accept documents, you wold have to turn them in at the original place in the camp.

I have the same problem. I even went to the camp it seems it's not working. is there a certain quest to trigger this? I have 8 technical data in my stash and every time I take it out, it doesn't trigger the quest.

***EDIT***
Ok you need to completer the "Coming to Fruition Quest" first then it'll trigger you to go to Fort Defiance. That will then trigger the "Forbidden Knowledge" quest.

They are there. I handed mine to the nice BOS lady in the Core of Atlas Obs but I havent dropped them into the slot yet as I used to when I played before.

The location in the ex-BOS camp works. But I wouldn't might if it was removed from the game.

Worked last night at the old camp.

Or try going to For Defiance maybe it'll work then. But remember don't turn all your tech data. Put them in your storage and take them to Valdez one by one.

Handing in 2 at a time gives you slightly more XP and Caps (so a small net loss from doing one at a time) and a 15% chance at a random Legendary item. The ammo and aid item reward doesn't change. So you'll have to decide if that 15% chance is worth it.

That has never been a thing. It's some misinformation spread amongst the playerbase.

If only nukacrypt still had their esm viewer active I'd provide a link to the reward code so everyone could see and finally get the right information.

I find them by unlocking safes, and checking file cabinets in FEV facility

If you had a fourth unit of Tech Data and turned it in then you need to drop the three you have somewhere and move on. This isn't like 4 where the more you turn in and you get more XP or caps, 76 only allows you to turn in one unit of Tech Data while any in excess in your inventory just lies there. You can only get Forbidden Knowledge to proc again if you pick up another piece of Tech Data out in the world, it doesn't count duplicates.

I used to find them all the time now it feels like since they are useful have become rare if not legendary in their drop rate...

too bad i didn't hold on too the 200 I had before dropping them thinking they where useless trash (this was before the BOS update and the rewards where rubbish).

Even when doing nuke runs I feel I used to get 30 of them per run back in the day now I am lucky to get 5.

Yes, I would like to see this data mining link because I have absolutely received legendary items from turning in multiple Tech Datas.
