Fallout 76

Fallout 76

If you get this game from Amazon prime does it tie to your steam account or your gamepass or whatever account?

I'm slightly interested in it, but not enough if I need an alternate launcher and all that jazz. I already tried it once a year ago, but refunded it because it just made me want to reinstall Fallout 4. Now Bethesda screwed the fallout 4 mod scene over for the foreseeable future so I'm debating giving 76 another shot.

Thanks.

It's for the windows version of the game and xbox console not steam

According to what I researched, once you claim it, you go to the Microsoft Store, redeem code, and enter thte code you recieve

I'm not 100% on this, but I think they're giving out codes that are good on platforms that your Prime account is linked to, I could be wrong tho.

You can claim a free copy of Fallout 76 on either PC (Window PC and not Steam) or Xbox (playable on Xbox One or Xbox Series X). If you got it for free through Amazon

Remember also this game has NO CROSS PLATFORM play. Your friends on Xbox can't play with you if you are on PC.
I claimed the copy from Prime, which gave me a code for the Microsoft Store. So I did that and now when I go back to the Store it says install. I will probably install that copy on my laptop for a "Mule" account? Or when a friend comes over I have two copies so we can both play together.

**** it. Been trying to play coop + Xbox for half a day. Checked if that possible. It was said "partial" support. Got 2 free codes from Amazon, Xbox required gamepass to launch game. Bought it. Searched if it possibe to play coop using same microsoft acc, found "yes". Couldn't connect, couldn't change account neither on PC or XBox, couldn't add "self" as friend to list. Found out that "partial" cross play between PC and Xbox is to launch Cloud gaming on PC, and it is not possible on same acc, even though i've already have 3 licences for Fallout76 -_-
Now i hate Xbox and Microsoft even more. No wonder everybody prefers Steam

That sounds like a mess. Sorry for all that. Yeah. That's why I'm giving it a pass even though it's currently free. I just don't want to mess around with the microsoft store. Maybe the next time it goes on sale for under 10 bucks I'll pick it up and try it again, or maybe I'll have lost the itch and moved on to something else.
