Interior walls?
Am I correct that there is not an interior wall to be had anywhere?

I suppose technically but there's nothing stopping you from building exterior walls as interior walls.

You are correct.

An egregious oversight I wish they would correct, if I'm being honest. You can, as said, use an exterior wall for the interior but it misses the mark a bit. Especially since there aren't any wallpapers you can use to match any of the exterior wall skins.

You can place an exterior wall with a door as an interior wall.
Place a second exterior wall with a door facing the other direction.
Replace both walls with solid walls (no doors)
You now have two sides of a wall that can be wallpapered.

Following up on BizarreMans answer there are some walls that work better for "Double walls", ironically some of the free non-atomic shop ones work best.

Those are some elegant solutions. Well, working suggestions anyway. Thanks. I'll try that.

Sadly, does not help in certain cases like top of stairs etc.

At least not with inordinate amounts of tryhard gaming the system and obscure black magic.

You know, like the upside down wedges needing an opposite roof for some reason or you can't place them, and no one tells you this but other people who found out.
The whole building thing should have had a massive overhaul by now, it's terrible no matter which way we try to spin it.

I love basebuilding in this game as much or possibly more than the next person, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is infuriating sometimes for the sheer stupidity of this bass-ackwards system.

Ya, top and bottom of stairs are problematic.

Agreed. As good as FO4 was/is, I don't understand why FO76 isn't just as good if not better.

sad to say this no longer works

Use a friend to help destroy parts then build new walls in same spots then use c.a.m.p to repair and it will glitch together. Another good use for PvP mechanics.

Years ago Bethesda said they were considering it... years ago...

Forgot genuine progress with this game as that talent pool has dried up with the devs that could have done so leaving Bethesda.

All you have now are monetization artists that can only copy and modify, not create. That copy/paste is also a minefield as they often stuff it up and alter the original item instead of the copy...

A company without competent QA is a joke.

If you use barn walls and have 2 different foundations.. you can snap 2 walls facing each other leaving the interior wall showing on both sides.. and for doing it on second floor just use door ways all the way up to what ever level you wish for it to be at and then remove the lower level door ways and switch them back to normal walls.

Just remember doing this will take up camp space as well so it's cool but not practical if you want a big house and still have room for your stuff. So in the long run after doing a few seasons and you keep getting more cool stuff you'll want to display you'll find yourself wishing those dam extra walls were not there. But thats just my opinion since I love building houses in 76.

Of course double walls take some extra budget, but depending on size of the building it's not that bad. Also that's just example of interior walls with staircase, you don't need to double outside walls unless you want to use wallpapers outside, if you double just your interior walls it takes very little extra budget.
