FO 76 Server Status in Steam?
Why isn't there a server notification on our FO 76 library page? (i.e., "Maintenance" or "Live"). Why should we have to go to an outside site to see server status?

Yes, this side is correct, but don't answer the question how long the maintenance is. That there is one, the game also told me ;)

It''s a maybe because maybe it's a Beth game and you can find it on their site-DUUUUH.

1. Because no such function exists.

2. Long time players know that they perform regular server maintenance on Tuesdays and we are not surprised when it's happening as a result.

3. They put out a News Thread in advance of these and THAT is literally on the Fallout 76 Library Page as well as the News Feed at the top of the Library.

For a 13 year old account with 800+ hours in Fallout 76, this is honestly the biggest skill issue I've ever seen in a Steam Forum Thread. You cannot seriously try and say that they don't put this information out in a very noticeable way.

You're asking either for them to have the game literally grayed out and unable to open it at all or you want Valve to make a full on integration system for every single game and company to poll their servers and notify the players on the Library page if the server is down or not.

Nobody did, they put out a News Post about these literally every single time they do it. People just don't bother reading. Because FO76 boots directly into the game with no launcher, this is the best way to put that out there. It's not their problem if people fail to learn to read.

Again, they literally say when it's going to happen, but FO76 maintenance is notoriously hard to judge how long it will take, thus they don't estimate. Better to not say anything than guess the time it will take wrong.

ESO is not a Bethesda game. It's a Zenimax Online game. This is part of why it has it's own engine.

And it has a launcher where this does not; and the error message when you try to login tells you the game is down for maintenance so...

Even while having the non-Steam version of the game and launching it through Steam I still see it's down for maintenance within 10 seconds of clicking launch because I configured my ini to skip all the intro BS, so within 5 seconds of clicking launch I'm pressing any button to go to main menu and either signing in or getting an error in the next few seconds.

You're asking for something Steam doesn't do and you're asking for it in the wrong place.
You might want to try something along the lines of "Online only games should have a server status feed on the Library page" here:
