Can anyone point me in the direction for LFG groups or discords please
Been trying to find people to play since getting the game and quite frankly having no luck

Press shift-tab in game to see the LFG menu.

"The Fallout Network" is what you want. It is public searchable on Discord. Join it, and then it includes ALL of the Fallout Games. Just choose the 76 ones.
Bethesda has the PTS server that you follow the directions for an invite for it. That one is the "TEST SERVER", if you want to do that.
