I hate the crossbow
I'm using it for the flickin' tadpole quest and I want to rip my hair out. I swear the sights are off because I can't hit the broad side of a barn without vats and it's sooooo weak ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kill me.

That whole Tadpole nonsense is... well, nonsense.

The sights ARE off. You're gonna have to figure it out and compensate.

Think about the backpack!!

If you at the level where you can Select Perk cards, the Bowman cards are under Perception. Same as with rifleman, and commando. I liked glow sites the best, but it seems iron sights, have the best vats accuracy. I think it shares mods, with the Compound Bow, for sights and arrow mods. I think that one of the vendors in Foundation sells them, but you might need to raise your reputation with them, or see if you can find the roaming trader, that sells the plans. Quad, was nice when it was allowed on the bows. But, that was removed. It was nice to load 4 shots, and shoot out 4 bolts. But, I held on to that level 15 crossbow, until it was removed. It neat, but not a weapon for tagging enemy's at events. It does have drop, for the bolts and arrows, so aim accordingly. Also, make sure, its been made to your level that should help too.

Also, for backpack mods, keep doing the daily for cleaning up the Kidde Corner Cabins in the toxic valley, it has a chance of rewarding a badge. And, the event at Camp Camp Adams, that can also give out badges, if you succeed. That is after your, Tadpole, when your working on your Possum Badges.

Squirrel has yet to be added, so no Squirrel Banner, Squirrel uniform was a Fallout First Season Reward, I recall correctly. The Squirrel Backpack was for doing. some limited time, Weekly quests for a about 3 weeks.

Something to play with, or use your Chinese stealth suit with. So do both quests, for Foundation and Crater, until you have to pick which side to get in the vault with. :cozybethesda:

It does not share mods with the compound bow. Everything for the compound bow is purchased, both sights for the crossbow can be learned by scrapping crossbows.

The dailies don't drop badges until you become a possum scout.

Sorry, its been a while. I did that a while ago. Its good that can be checked at the weapons workbench. I might have changed, or I scraped that many crossbows.

I did type, "after your Tadpole". When working on, your Possum Badges.

yeah, I would have forgotten too if I hadn't done it recently. They're the only two mods for crossbows and they have a high learn rate, with my last few characters I had the mods before I even unlocked the challenge lol

yeah crossbow be bad, even when I was using bows seriously (airquotes) and gave crossbows a swing it was somehow even worse.
Lesmir Apr 29, 2024 @ 7:33pm
just use VATS... put 1 point in concentrated fire and head shot everything super easily. my only issue with it was the repair quest because of the low firing it take ages to break even a little ( i have too much intel so crafting one put it in double durability bar )
