I have a bug and I don't know how to fix it.
Hey, I hope I can explain it well enough because my english isn't the best. So the game works great, that's not my problem but after 5 min, sometimes after 1h, it doesn't matter my hud/letters are cut in half and when I keep playing the game it disappears completely. When I open my map all the markers are gone too. The only way to fix it right now is to restart the game, until it happens again.

I don't know if it helps you but all my graphic settings are on low and I use a different resolution. (I use the same settings in Fallout 4 and everything's fine) My pc is good enough for this game. I have a AMD Radeon RX6750 XT with 32GB RAM so that shouldn't be the problem, right?

Since I'm already here: if you're an EU player you can add me, if you want to play together!

Hopefully we can find a solution. Maybe it's in the next update? I heard they're making the map bigger or something like that.

So I did some digging and most of the times this issue is tied to either mods, screen resolution or font size settings in the OS.

I put my money on you running the game at a weird resolution, based on your OP.

I didn't even know there's mods but I'll test it out! I'll set the resolution to my screen and maybe it works. Thank you! I just don't want to use that much electricity but I guess I have to make an exception for this game.

Don't feel bad. Bethesda doesn't know how to fix the bugs either.

Can I ask what specificly you're doing?
You can save on electricity best by just capping your FPS to 60 or something according to your refreshrate.
If you got something like a 144hz display, you should cap it to 72 fps or reduce your refreshrate either to 120hz or 60hz and then cap it the fps to 60.
Never try running 60 fps on 144hz, it ends up looking like 30 fps.
The uneven numbers just don't chime well with how refreshrates and fps work in tandem.

I personally have a 1440p 144hz Gsync display and a very power hungry and hot RTX 3080.
To prevent sitting next to a literal money eating oven, I capped my framerate to 75 but I'm running my native resolution.
Since your card is very close to a RTX 2080, you should get similar results with acceptable heat and wattage. The game is not that demanding I'd say.

The ONLY mods for Fallout 76 are in game for weapons and armor.
It almost sounds like you go into battery saver mode, since it changes after a while. Make sure you have gaming mode on. Does AMD have an "Up-scaling" feature like Nvidia does in their settings? Also in game you can choose full screen or windowed, did you try that maybe. Hope you get it figured out.

I'm always trying to save money when I'm playing pc. I know I have a very good graphics card but I really don't care about graphics. I just want a good performance and I want to be able to play new games. I have a 144hz display, maybe I should've bought a 60hz display. I already set my display to 60hz, there's also 50 and 59,94hz. The game is set to 60fps! The reason why I'm reducing my resolution is because on a higher resolution it eats my money too, like you said. I can see it when I open my AMD overlay. The heat is fine but I don't like the wattage. By the way, thanks for all the other information, I'm always trying to learn more about pc!

Hmm, maybe I was wrong about my assumption how your GPU fares wattage wise with the game. It was an educated guess afterall.
But hey, you're welcome.

Good to know, thanks!
I just checked it. Gaming mode is enabled and Fallout 76 is set to "maxium performance". Oh yes it has an upscaling feature but I turned that off because I don't want to kill my pc. I honestly don't know why we have this feature. It seems like our current pcs can't handle that without a lot of problems but correct me if I'm wrong! The game is on fullscreen right now and I'm testing it now on my display resolution or I just reduce my display resolution, that should work too, right? I have no idea, :cozybethesda: Thanks, I hope we can fix this problem, because I'm not the only one.

Well just don't forget that if you go with 720p you'll have the font issue again.
Maybe try 1366×768 or 1600×900.

Hey a little update: I don't know why but your solution helped me! I tested it for a few days and I can confirm this resolution is working for me. I set my resolution to 16:10 1440x900. :cozybethesda:
