What kind of weapon to suggest depends really hard on your build too, and generally speaking (though this is my personal opinion only) you should get by with dropped and repaired / repurposed items until you reach the 50 threshold.
Upside of that is, you likely know what you like until then and can then get your head around obtaining the plans for the weapon(s), though it's not really necessary when you know a good hunting spot for that weapon drop.
Edit: Some weapons and armors come as rare Daily Ops drops or gold bullion purchases only though, something to keep in mind.
Then your rolled weapon (s) will be permanant. So save your legendary Modules/Reactors for that.
Meanwhile, just to be sure your weapons/armors match the level you are.
Choose your fights, runaway if necessary, do all the events in your gameplay session.
Check player vendors, you never know what you will find, Always check the level of what you buy ... .
both so you can scrap em for mod plans.
at the rusty pick? yep bc mmrgm has better than avg chances at good rolls.
sadly she doesnt exclude useless base items, its all there t 45, raider PA and combat knifes etc
If I happen to be online, you are welcome to come by and I will build something for you according to your wishes. Free of course! But as written, this only really makes sense from level 50 onwards.
Focus on scrapping weapons and armor to learn mods instead of getting great gear. You're in tutorial for another 18 levels - it's literally just "figure it out" time. What you should be doing is trying everything out that seems fun
Other than that I can't say anything that the first response already covered better in any way.
